What is the current cruise meta for different scenarios? >best cruise for chilling - food/lodge/gym?>best cruise for partying - theme nights?>best cruise for adventure - locations & activities? >how to avoid the old geezer retirement home cruises
>how to avoid the old geezer retirement home cruisesDon't do cruises.
>>2726192i understand it is unavoidable but are there any cruises with a maximum age limit? Surely the real old ones cant even make it onto a boat.
>>2726197Shorter cruises will be more booze cruise, especially in the Caribbean. The cost of avoiding senior citizens is being surrounded by low class cruisers. In general, Virgin has a younger crowd but it’s the most woke line with an on-board drag queen and TONS of gays
Any cruises that don't allow people under 50? I figure that would filter out all niggers and faggots
>>2726581There is a UK cruise line Saga that is for elderly people only. They won’t even sell you a ticket if you’re under 50. Old British people would shitpost unironically on pol all day if they knew what it meant so you’ll fit right in
>>2726591Thanks, I checked it out, $10,000 for a 30 day cruise fuck that
>>2726191>best cruise for chillingDepends on what you mean by chilling. Generally if you spend a bit more and get a ship with a better sqft:passenger ratio it's much more chill, celebrity for a larger ship that isn't ultra expensive, Oceana if you're rich and want luxury and service. NCL aren't an especially high end cruise company but do Norwegian fjord cruises with a significant number of "sail by" days where they just go through passages with some great views which if you've a balcony is chill as fuck.>best for partyingVirgin Voyages are pretty much designed around this without being overly "top 10 cruise brawls!". Short Carnival or MSC cruises if you want that budget "everyone getting ratarsed" experience>best for adventureRiver cruises are a lot more intimate and focused around a region. Extremely social though. Hurtigruten do a lot of adventurous locations with their ships being ice breakers and adapted science vessels (biggest drawback is resisting the urge to go Swedish Chef impressions).>how to avoid retirement homesAvoid the luxury or traditional lines like Oceana or Cunard. More cruise lines are aiming for families now, going on a megaship or a Disney cruise will avoid OAPs.
>>2726608I'm actually doing an Oceania cruise in two weeks in the Med, and doing a Havila (Hurtigruten's new competitor) cruise next year. Tbh I don't mind the old people cruises, the destinations tend to be more scenic than the party cruise itineraries, and old people are chill. I'm on the boat to relax, not party. I loved the Princess cruise I took from Vancouver to Anchorage for example, Skagway was really the only town that felt like cruise line disney BS and even then the natural scenery was spectacular enough to make up for it.
>>2726638Things like Oceania and Cunard (who aren't actually all that expensive any more) are just way too formal for me.When you go to their gala nights and a suit and tie could still get you turned away, that's just taking the piss.
Are there any cheap cruises from Mexico to the Caribbean or Central America for maybe $100 per day for a single occupancy?
>>2726909You're never getting a singles cruise for that. If you're lucky you may be able to have the solo fare that's only 50% more
>>2726795Really? Everything I've read on Cruise Critic and Oceania's own site is that at most the restaurants require dress shirt and slacks, no need for jacket/tie. Maybe you're mixing them up with something like Seabourne? IIRC Holland America still does formal nights.
Cruises are gay but after reading this they might be basedhttps://www.washingtonpost.com/travel/2024/01/10/sex-assault-cruise-ship-reports/https://theweek.com/health/sexual-assault-cruise-shipsHow ugly are the chicks on cruises?
>>2726909Norwegian does solo cabins. If you book several months in advance you can often find one for maybe $150/night all in
>>2727035Cruises are literally 80% over 45 and the younger crowd tends to be largely homosexual. You'll love it.
>>2726581you want holland america. there's not too much happening, but it's all old white people and a few asians. lovelyfor anyone interested in solo cruise cabins: bear in mind that they are mostly for widows.
