What's Chile like?
Seems like it'd be a cheaper place to live off neetbux than Australia

Any tips?
Can I find a qt wife despite being a neet?
Can I live there on $2100 AUD ($1400 USD) a month, while being safe any airconditioned?

$1400 a month is pretty poorfag for Chile. Still doable, though.
If that were my budget, I'd probably go to Colombia. you could live fairly comfy there on $1400. Just don't walk around at night. It's a great place to neetmax (get a nice apartment and there is almost zero reason to leave)

I would go to colombia if I could, but I don't think I can get neetbux there
Basically I just want to sit around all day in a small apartment and shitpost and enjoy life
Maybe smoke weed and have a drink sometimes
Probably study spanish too

yeah, that's Colombia

Yep, and when you live at altitude, you don't need A/C either.

It really has amazing weather. If you like things warm (but not too hot) all year round, Medellín. if you like things cool (but not too cold) all year round, Bogotá. Fans are necessary in Medellín, though.
Safety is the main issue, but Colombians are tiny people. You just need to be aware of your surroundings whenever you are outside. Copping weed or whatever substances is easy, but can also be sketchy. Fortunately, I know where to go from experience if I need anything. Don't do it in the tourist areas, you are asking to get ripped off and potentially busted by police.

Chile is like a weird cross between mexico, california, and alaska. It feels like someone took an industrial pressure machine and squished it all into one small place. It’s probably due to the geography and weather influence of the southern ocean while being such a tiny squiggle of land. I think most of the country is only like 250 miles from the west coast to the east coast of argentina. So its got a lot of oceanic influences. Still a very cool place

Is colombia reall dangerous? I keep hearing from people to never go there, yet I know female backpackers who go there all the time and never have problems. Is it that criminals only target male foreigners or something? I look like a mystery mutt if that helps.

Last time I flew into Barranquilla, the plane had Chilean flight attendants. One was over 6’ tall and had blonde hair and blue eyes. She told me to come visit Chile if I wanted to meet tall and white beautiful women.

Bump, I want to visit Santiago, just not sure if its worth visiting over Buenos Aires or CDMX

What's stopping you?
>>

You should be able to live almost anywhere on $US1500.

Lack of things to do/see vs the other two

I actually don't know anything about Santiago

There are a lot of scammers targeting male tourists, yes.
>>
>>2728838
Why specifically male tourists? Is it like a turbofeminism thing where the scammers are white knights?
>>
>>2729390
The scammers are female
>>
>>2729536
Why are they female?
>>
>>2729917
Because they target sexpats. Or just any obviously foreign man they mistake for a sexpat anyway.
There are reports going back 10+ years but it's gotten so bad the US Embassy issued an alert. It's not confined to dating apps but anywhere with nightlife.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2024-01-26/dating-app-drugging-and-robbery-raises-tinder-fears-in-colombia

Apart from this there isn't anything particularly "special" about crime in Colombia, drug-related stuff rarely if ever affects tourists (or normal civilians really) and the usual petty thefts/robberies common all across Latin America are not likely to affect backpackers or any remotely savvy travelers but rather oblivious boomers, they want easy targets and high payouts.

So, you should be fine as long as you avoid local bitches?
>>
>>2730547
Yeah, don't be retarded and don't think with your dick.
If you follow this advice while traveling you'll be safe in like 99% of the world desu.
>>

It's safer for females than for males, but a lot of the danger is simply the perception that 1 guy in 10 would rob you if you gave him a chance to do so. Medellin is chock full of scummy characters, tough to find cheap almuerzos as well.

>easy targets and high payouts.
That's why they go for tourists. THe payout is very high. THey can clean out your whole bank account., which is likely more than a year's salary for them. Even your phone is three month's salary to them.

>THey can clean out your whole bank account

How?

What type of neetbux? Some centrelink payments are reduced or cut off if you are outside of Australia for more than 3 months. Chile has one of the higher standards of living in South America and so it is one of the pricier countries. But still definitely cheaper than Australia. Check out Paraguay, it is one of the cheaper countries in South America, yet it is pretty stable and safe and there are a few Aussie expats that live there.
