South America gets millions of tourists per year but you rarely hear of people visiting picrel. What happens in this region? Is it worth visiting? Anything unique or special about these forgotten countries?
>>2728714Oil in guyana, the ESA has a vase in french guiana and idfk about suriname
UFC heavyweight Jairzinho Rozenstruik is from Suriname. You should ask him
>>2728714Oil, gold and diamond mining and a lot of jungle. In French Guiana you have the ESA launch site and a large french foreign legion base and that's about it.Guyana speaks english, Suriname dutch and the Frenchies speak french.
guyana has a really high crime rate, little to nothing to do for a tourist in georgetown, and if you leave georgetown you'll be stuck doing an ecotour of the amazon (the logistics of doing it solo are nearly impossible) suriname is pretty much the same thing, and french guyana has a space station, high crime, and it is pretty expensive and hard to even get to with little to no flights except from brazil and france.honestly this part of south america is pretty forgetable, you're not missing out on much.
>>2728714I unironically want to go to Suriname, I've been to Aruba 4 times and I feel like I want a little more exoticism. Aruba has a decent-sized Surinamese diaspora population, they even have some goods imported from there like some curry powder I got one time. This place had some of the spiciest fucking food I've ever tried
There are more Surinamese living in the Netherlands than in Suriname itself. I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but I have to wonder why that is the case.
>>2728714Because it is a shithole and there is virtually just one road through the countries.
