I am going to Plovdiv soon and since there has not been a Bulgaria thread for a long time, I thought I'd start one.I would appreciate any recommendations for bars, food, interesting places to go in Plovdiv.

Went to a place called Jargerhof and it was very bad. They just serve lidl sausages and bad beer and call it german food. Avoid IMO.

>>2732326OK, my opinion is that Bulgaria isn't cheap enough to overcome being fairly average. You can get better/similar food in more interesting countries, cheaper. eg Romania. Bulgaria is basically at Czech Republic levels in terms of cost.

Its right behind the fucking McDonalds. Go to the tourist trap quarter (literally named the trap) for food and drinks. You can find lotsa gourmet stuff there, if you can tolerate crowds. Get Adana Kebap from the Turks in Sofra. Then get some pancakes across the street. Go to Fabric near the Happy and get some locally brewed craft beer. Go to No Sense if you are staying Friday and want to meet english speaking students.
