When it comes to December options (in Europe), is Portugal a good place to travel to? I noticed flying to Lisbon is pretty cheap, and hotels seem rather cheap too. Thinking Lisbon a couple days, then getting a rental and heading to Porto (and various coastal towns)
>>2732303I went in January one time and did, Lisbon, Sinatra, Porto and it was nice.
>>2732303why would you come to Portugal in December though? they're cheap because it's the low season and there isn't a lot to do at that time. There won't even be snow in most place. It's just boring. also everything closes around Christmas and New Year
>>2732305Did you do Sinatra your way, anon?
>>2732340It's the only time I have vacation this year (early/mid December) :/
>>2732342That's life anon
>>2732340>low season and there isn't a lot to do at that timeBars, restaurants, historic sites, museums are all likely to still be open except with massively reduced footfall making it better in almost every way except it's not as warm.
>>2732479>>2732303It's really not that cold either
I just got back from Lisbon 2 days ago. It's nice, was warm enough to wear shorts every day. The main attractions are a bit disappointing however, monastery, tile museum, aquarium etc.It was pretty cheap for me, but I'm coming from almost the highest prices in Europe, the only particularly cheap thing was Uber. The food was fine but nothing spectacular, Bifanas were the only thing that was notably very good. For some reason I had no interest in Lisbon but all my friends wanted to it and another friend lives there so I had to. Never really want to go back now tho.
>>2732303Where's the best place in Porto to get that sandwich?
>>2732503Anywhere you go it tastes like absolute dogshit.
I'd toss Albufeira into the mix. Admittedly December might not be the moment to be at the beach, but it is beautiful. If you are worried about the weather, save it for next time. If you Do go there, go eat at Roulotte Do Sr. António, outdoor place, sand floor, weird old guy on the grill, great steak or seafood. If you got o Porto and are into such things, look into the "Spiritus" videomapping AV show at Clerigos Church, it was the best such show I've seen (if those bore you, this one probably will to). If you go, sit to the back for a better view -- and be sure to look up.
>>2733269You seem upset.
>>2734134That light show, from what I'm seeing, looks awesome. I'll have to check it out.
