I'm moving overseas next year in February so that I can 'start a new life', it'll be the first time I moving abroad in my life (permanently anyway). The main reason is because my family thinks it will be best for me overall and I can probably help my family out when I've settled in with money.Everyone believes life will be better for me in the country due to better infrastructure and better job opportunities (I know how that sounds but my country isn't getting better any time soon). Some Context:>24 years old>Finished college>Spent most of this year looking for work with very little luck>Spent some time working online before being 'dismissed', it wasn't that good of a job but it was my first real experience so whatever>My dad offered to help me move overseas so I can get a career started in a first world country>I have a hard time taking care of myself and being responsible, so it'll be a big adjustment>My relationship with my dad is okay mostly, family drama makes things weird but I manage fine>My germaphobia and weird habits make it hard for me to be normal around people>Worried that I'll do something stupid and end up getting kicked out by my dad, then end up homeless in another country (paranoid I know but it's hard to shake off)Any advice for how I can start behaving less like a manchild and learn how to take care of myself? How can I protect myself so I don't end up worse off than I am in my current country? If you need any further context I can provide it, sorry for rambling a bit, I haven't been sleeping to well lately.
What's up with constant DN/moving abroad threads? Is it Drumpf?
>>2733182>Is it Drumpf?OP is clearly from some 3rd world country so I doubt he's moving away from America>inb4 the USA is a 3rd world countryDon't bother I'm not American either
I'll give you some advice. It's only scary for the first few weeks. Then it's exciting and fun for a few months. Then it just kind of feels like normal. The most important thing you can do is learn the language. Are you moving to US or UK? You have to study the language HARD. That's the most important part of integrating in to any new country.>I have a hard time taking care of myself and being responsible, so it'll be a big adjustmentThe most important part of taking care of yourself is just keeping clean and tidy. If you have the discipline to keep the kitchen and bathroom and bedroom clean every day then you'll be able to figure everything else out. Dirtiness is the number one reason roommates fight, even though your roommate will be your dad. Just do your chores! Always put your chores first. If you're worried about not getting along with your dad you should try to spend more time with him. Ask him to go to the park or eat dinner with him as much as you can.this is a /soc/ thread quit being a pussy OP and just go for it

>>2733234you should tidy up every day at least, put all your clothes and dishes and furniture back where it belongs. make sure every item in the house has a "home" to go to, and put it back there every day. for sweeping and vacuuming and scrubbing down the kitchen and bathroom you should do that once a week.

Good luck OP, as other anons mention one of the most important things is to be clean, there's nothing worse than to come back home to a shitty place that's filthy, it will really bring you down. My advice is, do one big thing per day, like washing dishes or making your bed is an everyday thing, but cleaning the bathroom, organizing the kitchen or laundry take up time so instead of going crazy with a "I'll do everything in a single day" schedule you keep your space tiddy enough that it doesn't drain you of your energy. Godspeed anon, you'll have a great time.
yeah and did not specify what country so must be from 3rd world country lol .

But if the town you're staying at is in a small mining town, there's not much of a social life besides drinking, especially if you're going into mining. There's lots of work there that suits your IT degree - aim for something that deals with their ERP systems since the big major mining companies are pretty invested in data analytics and data automation. You'll have to wiggle your way up those ranks.>How do you know this shit?I've read a bunch of internal consulting business reports on work the company has completed for different mining companies.
