what's Jordan like in the cities?
shit.amman is hugely uninteresting and the others are only fun because they are near cool stuff.i love the middle east but if you were to remove Petra, the Dead Sea and a couple of cool religious sites this could possibly be the blandest place in the world.

The cities are all very modern, yes they have ancient ruins but most of these cities where founded less than 100 years ago. The old capital of As Salt is the most historic place you will find and even that is not more than 200 years old

>>2734126I can't technically say I've "been" there, but I had an interesting layover in Amman on my way to Thailand. layover was 12 hours, maybe more. they took everyone with a long layover from the airport (a real shitty airport btw) to a nice hotel nearby and gave us all free rooms and there was a buffet. the building was in a guarded compound. then they took us back to the shitty airport. some guy working there asked for a bribe when I wanted to know which gate and when boarding started. one of the strangest transfers I've had
