How much better is the experience on the mid-tier luxury lines like Celebrity and Princess than the mass market lines like Norwegian, Carnival and Royal?
>>
>>2737096
I avoid that stuff like the plaque, who in their right mind wants to be on a floating shopping mall? What's the appeal there?
>>
>>2737096
Sacred, Holy, to put it into words and write it down that is walking on hallowed ground because it's my duty, I'm a missionary.

Here's some cruise ship unique...

>>
>>2737096

I'm never setting foot on a cruise ship until I am like 60+ and too tired to do anything more interesting
>>
>>2737119
Unless you're a good swimmer and 60+ might be too late, why would you do that in the first place?
Not for just yourself but for others.
>>
>>2737096
I don't know because I'm not a literal 80 year old
>>
>>2737096
I went on Princess for my first and only cruise and it didn't feel luxury at all. I would guess the difference is in the clientele.
>>
Why are there always so many fucking cruise threads? Why do so many of you fucks support this shit? FUCK THIS INDUSTRY
>>
>>2738833
>Why are there always so many fucking cruise threads
more travel related than half the threads on this board
>>
>wants to travel with boomers and niggers
you kikes can fucking kill yourselves already
>>
>>2738841
I just go for sweet sun exposure in the winter and to autistically stare at the ocean for hours while getting shitfaced.

don't give a shit about itinerary because I never even get off the ship.
>>
I would only be interested in creeping on chicks with their family. How's the success rate on that and sneaking uhh questionable characters back into your little bunk room?
>>
>>2739042

it's common, but all those chicks are swingers and she is gonna text her husband after she has been flirting with you for 20 min
>>
cunard is the only cruise company I can recommend, I've taken their transatlantic 6 or 7 times. they still have some staff who are white, albeit eastern euro. also I believe they charge the most per ticket, so that filters out some of the riff-raff which you WILL encounter on cheaper cruises.
will keep this thread in my internet tab for a day if anyone has questions
>>
>>2737096
It's all pretty similar. Princess is just a less trashy Carnival. Their Medallion thing is pretty cool though.
>>
OP didn't ask for all this bellyaching
>>
frrom what I hear they can be fun
>>
>>2737096
Those lines are all rather similar. The biggest difference is WHERE you sail out of.

Cruises are pretty amazing, depending on the itinerary. Great food, whole ship is luxury and constantly being cleaned. Travel in port and relax when at sea, get to watch broadway type shows and everything.
>>
>>2737096

Just did Princess for the first time after doing Royal Caribbean. Princess is worlds better. But it depends on what you want. If you're looking for a family type vacation where you can have water slides and a bunch of bullshit, Royal Caribbean is good. If you want 5 star luxury and everything on demand, Princess is way better.

When I sailed on Royal Caribbean in January, there were 6,000 people fighting for one soda machine in between 20 fucking decks. On Princess, they ply you with food, drinks and everything you could possibly want in a 5 star luxury facility. Bartenders would have ice cold Diet Cokes, sparkling water and my alcoholic drinks of choice ready as soon as they saw me. Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival are like bottom end theme parks. Princess is like a luxury hotel.

Also with the Medallion service on Princess, they'll bring you anything you want anywhere on the ship. One of my favorite memories of my last cruise was floating around drunk at 3 AM in one of their unbelievably beautiful pools and ordering a hot dog and beer to the pool even though I was the only one awake.

The only thing that sucks about Princess is the fucking boomer scum you have to put up with. My wife and I are in our mid 30s and we were the youngest people on the ship by almost half it felt like. White boomers are the fucking scum of the universe. But if you can tune those fucking faggots out, nothing beats Princess.

Also, get the fucking drink package. It's always worth it.

Also Norwegian kind of sucks since everything is a fucking upcharge and it's just a shittier Royal Caribbean. And Carnival is just for niggers and there's no reason to ever go on those ships.

kek

I did a Celebrity cruise for the first time and you're right. The Princess/Celebrity tier is far better than the mass market lines. I never want to go on a cruise ship with a water slide again. It's cool they kept the pools open in the middle of the night like that.

The Celebrity cruise had By FAR the most 20s/30s QTs of any cruise I've been on.
>>
>>2742888

Yeah, definitely. But it depends what you want. I had a great time on Royal Caribbean but after 7 days, the theme park feel of it wore off quickly.

What's Celebrity's demographics like? I imagine Celebrity would probably be better than Princess because Royal Caribbean > Carnival.

I liked just about everything about Princess aside from the other passengers who were just the most miserable old fucks you could imagine. My wife gets free cruises all the time from her working at a casino so would love to jump to Celebrity at some point. It would be nice to get that level of luxury around people closer to our age. I just want to fuck off in a Cabana with my laptop, not listen to every old cocksucker's opinions about the world and all of their fucking health problems. Jesus.

Also the food in Princess' main dining room was surprisingly lousy. How is the food on Celebrity?
>>
>>2738988
why not just go to a beach bar or something man
>>
>>2742932

Celebrity had far younger and more attractive people than both NCL cruises I've been on. People were much more attractive with far lower BMIs than on NCL as well. Just higher quality and classier people overall. Ended up with a QT latina back in my room on the first night.

Last NCL cruise I was on had a large group of blacks who would camp out every day in the observation lounge blasting shitty music from a bluetooth boombox they brought on the ship. Fuck NCL for tolerating that.

Main dining room was excellent. Escargot available as starter every night and they served prime rib the first night. Buffet generally sucked. It was just a depressing sight at dinner time with strange options. However, they do keep the buffet open with limited options (pizza, sandwiches, desserts) late at night... which is nice for drunken munchies.

The MDR is supposed to have a no t-shirt/no shorts dress code, but I didn't see that being enforced... perhaps because it was only a 4 day Caribbean cruise.

>>2742982

Cruising is literally cheaper than getting a hotel.

What's the best cruise for my wife and I to take?

>We're in our early 30s
>joint income well into 6 figures
>I personally despise being around boomers and the usual suspects
>We have two young kids, will likely drop them off at the grandparents
>I'm not a partier or a gambler. I like relaxing and adventuring
>My wife is a foodie

I've gone on 2 family cruises on carnival and I hated it. It was a floating walmart.

i got a blowjob from a random girl who came with her family on carnival conquest right next to the jacuzzi's on the top deck shit was so cash. when you lay down on that dark green chair just know i was laying down having my dick gobbled on at the same spot and life was so great for a moment
>>
>>2743022

That's excellent and pretty much what I figured. I will start steering towards Celebrity in the future. Princess is great at what they do well and pretty budget friendly if you know how to shop. But Princess definitely feels like an old age home.

I may have aged out of Virgin. I might be interested if I wasn't married but it seems pretty trendy and hipster-y in the worst of ways. The idea of having to pay for drinks on a cruise is sub-human to me. Virgin seems super millenial to me in the worst of ways. I want steak and luxury not weird colors and hipster shit. I do like Virgin the brand though. But will never ride on a cruise that doesn't have all inclusive drink package.

Different strokes for different folks.
>>
Third party site like PortCanaveralCruises.com safe to use?
Trying to book something for late next month for 4 adults
>>
>>2743512
You should never need to hand over details before getting prices. You won't be getting anything exclusive from them, all the cruise providers send their pricing CSVs to a small number of cruise search engine providers that then get hooked into dozens of third party affiliate sites. You're only ever getting the price from these CSVs + whatever the affiliate's mark-up is. A lot of cruise sites are really backwards in their processes and have really archaic booking methods often forcing phone calls to book, don't be fooled by these, you're not going to get a better deal but you will get the hard sell.

>used to work for one of these search engine providers
>was the lead developer on one of the biggest cruise company's sites

Can't recommend any particular US sites as we didn't have those as clients.
>>
>>2737096
The pricing triggers me. It's like $50/night but then at checkout they're like "lol that's $2k in taxes, thank you". Biggest problem is also that the stops aren't long enough especially on the shitter lines
>>
>>2737096
I'm going on the NCL Bare Necessities cruise on 02/03. Eleven days of clothing optional shore excursions, in addition to the whole boat (sans dining rooms) being nude the entire time. Plus, two days (one outbound, one inbound) at their private island...which will also be nude for those days. Looking forward to some MILF/GILF swapping with the right couples...

Sidenote: The drink package looks rediculously expensive. Going to be about $2K just for that. But hey, you only live once!
>>
>>2744638
Saggy GILF titties for days. Weird... the drink package is usually only $30/day.
>>
>>2744724
I was talking about the booze package, not the soda package.
>>
>>2745179
the booze package is $30/day for NCL cruises. guessing the nude cruise is a charter cruise, so you have to pay more
>>
>>2743049
You’ll be able to find someone to fuck your wife if that’s what you’re asking?

I've been to the German cruise called AIDA several times and enjoyed it a lot. Great buffet, mostly old people so it's rather quiet. Clean, nice rooms, etc.

Next year we want to try another cruise. What is generally recommended? I have no idea where to start looking for. MSC? We wanna go somewhere warm without paying a fortune. Greece, italy, spain, ..
>>
>>2745436
Don't do MSC, overcrowded (the buffet is hell on Earth), full of families, included food is terrible and the speciality restaurants are overpriced. Having to provide for 6 different languages just means the ship has a shitty atmosphere and all the entertainment is terrible song and dance stuff

P&O are cheap have reasonable ships and lots of old people (so long as you avoid British school holidays), buffet has a kinda small selection (they minimise crowding by repeating the stations) but the inclusive restaurants are nice and the speciality ones not too expensive. Biggest issue I had was a pretty tiny cocktail selection and their shows frequently stopped for "technical issues". They do lots of European and Canary Island cruises.

Generally you get what you pay for, except for Disney (overpriced as fuck) and the occasional small cruise lines that pick up smaller old ships for cheap and offer good quality cosy cruises cheaper than they should be (Ambassador being one such line). Expect most of the headline grabbing megaships to be courting families and really cramming people in. Passenger per sq.ft. and Passenger per crew member are good things to look up to get a feel for how luxury or packed a cruise will be.
>>
>>2743288
How do you hookup with girls on ships? Assuming I also go with family and thus have no private quarters of my own
>tfw I look way younger than I actually am
>have a difficult time engaging with people my age because they think I'm some brat
>the only passengers/girls that do approach me periodically are JKs but obviously I don't want to fool around with them
>>
>>2746620
just tell her that you like her shirt or some shit while you are waiting in line. people are generally friendly, but you'll have to gauge her openness to your advances.
>>
>>2746620
if you don't have a room on your own you won't shag anything, go by yourself. what do you need a mummy for to go on a cruise? you want to fuck around you don't go on a family holiday
>>
>>2739588

How much are food/drink costs at these things?

$1000 for a 14 day cruise seems pretty reasonable if not cheap
>>
>>2742543
Holland America was like that. Like a luxury hotel but full of boomers.
>>
Has anyone done a Ritz cruise? Thinking about going with my wife for our anniversary.
>>
>>2737096
Cruise ships are for boomers and Asian couples
There’s literally a hundred more interesting and interactive things to do than to sit on a giant floating shopping mall that sells overpriced shit
