I am in my early 20s, live in western europe and have never left my native country before. I would prefer somewhere with a moderate climate and a low cost of living to maximise my cash. I have an interest in history. My reason for wanting to travel is that I have wasted my youth so far by studying, working jobs I hate and playing video games. I would like to see more of the world and be less depressed in life, even if only for a few months. Please recommend me destinations or routes for extended periods of travelling which would be doable for a beginner.
>>2742656Egypt is cheap
How do you already have 50k in your early 20s? Did you skip college and go into work immediately?
>>2742658Egypt is too hot for me.>>2742660Yes + living with parents who don't charge rent.
>>2742656>moderate climate >low cost of livingDoesn't exist
>>2742656Why don't you work and travel abroad for a year on a working holiday visa?
>>2742656Why don't you start with a simple vacation before you blow tons of money on the travel escapism meme
>>2742721Albania and Portugal
>>2742774Fuck albania and albaniand and kosovarians. They are all mafia
>>2742656Highland Colombia
>>2742656I'm in my early 30s and I have $50000 too!
I'd probably go to the southern coast of Turkey. Alternatively Coastal Morocco. Both have a great climate year-round, are affordable, lots of white people to interact with when you get sick of the brownies.>>2742861you two should meet and touch wieners
>>2743007>I'd probably go to the southern coast of Turkey. Alternatively Coastal MoroccoHow's the situation in Morocco? I already know Turkey is acceptable
>>2742656Anon please listen to me. At a quick glance, it’s very easy to distill your thread:>im an angry western white male who had not had his pecker played with enough to achieve sexual satiety. It’s gonna be ok.>I have 50k to spend PLEASE DO NOT blow 50k on “””traveling.””” At most, set aside 20k. Invest the rest. >muh climate, muh cost!Head straight to Bangkok, grab a minibus from Ekkemai station, and let your yaba induced driver speed you to pecker players paradise in pattaya.10k will get you at least 2 months of premium pecker play. 20k, a solid 6 months. Please don’t flail around and declare:>muh that’s not what I want! I want to just “travel”!Cmon man. Just do what I say, and you’ll have an eternal reservoir of motivation to pursue excellence. I do this for free. I do this because I want everyone to know the joys of this world
>>2743082Get help, seriously
>>2743143>bro get help for knowing exactly what you want out of lifePfffflol
>>2743082Elaborate on what you mean by "premium".
>>2743168Higher quality tutors from better classrooms willing to let you use their study books without the need for dust jackets ^_^
>>2743172>coomers consider this "high quality"Holy kek
>>2743174It’s not an example per se. Not like you could get anything appetizing
>>2743172Isn't that very dangerous because you risk contracting diseases from other students? And if that is all which distinguishes a high quality teacher from a low quality teacher it doesn't seem like a very good deal.
>>2743187Well I’ve already gotten several kinds of “paper cuts” from reading their books without a dust jacket so i don’t really give a fuck. If it’s not a booklet about hiv, it’s basically a cosmetic issue.
>>2743082The only wise answer here, but alas it falls on deaf ears.
>>2743341That's not very encouraging.>>2743697I think it would be better to be with a woman who I don't have to pay.
>>2743870Yea it’s up to you. Mind this though, I’ve only ever gotten the clam paper cut from hookers. I’ve gotten more insidious things from normal girls. This proves that tutors are more sanitary when it comes to their study materials
>>2743870The cultural/language barrier makes paid and unpaid seem basically the same imo
>>2742774Those are both mid countries in terms of COL. Albania isn't some dirt cheap ex-commie shithole nobody's heard of any more, it's been discovered. >>2742656Travel is a waste just the same as playing vidya all day in mommy's house. The novelty of being in unfamiliar places wears off for extended trips. Vacations are the best choice for travel as escape from your mundane reality.
>>2744020I just want my pecker played with. I’m not trying to escape reality
>>2742656>moderate climate>low cost of living>historySouth America. Peru, Argentina, Brazil.>>2743082>I do this because I want everyone to know the joys of this worldBased sex tourism promoter.
>>2743082This is the best advice.I regret waiting until my late 40s to go to Thailand and enjoy the pecker play.
>>2744020>>2743931>>2743341>>2743187>>2743172Imagine going to Thailand and studying with a hag tutor instead of a primary student who’s book has never been opened before
>>2744179>BrazilHe said moderate climate, most of Brazil is tropical and subtropical which means sweltering heat and humidity for your typical Northern Hemisphere tourist. Cost of living is OK though.>ArgentinaThe opposite, ticks the moderate climate box, but it's not that cheap anymore, it's mid-COL. The plane ticket will set you back though so that adds up.>PeruOnly one you listed which actually ticks both boxes.
>>2744197Imagine never being told “good boy,” after you slow stroke a 40 year old mega mommy to satisfaction. Sad!
>>2744259>Imagine not recognizing an old whore’s acting
>>2744273Cope Level: Weapons Grade
>>2744276Nigga you are the one bragging about old whores man you are delusional
>>2744278All you and the other grumblers do is yap from the sidelines. I ask for silence from the peanut gallery on this Christmas Day. Thanks
>>2744280It’s not Christmas Day in SEA. It’s 7am on Thursday
>>2744282>ackshuallySILENCE
>>2744291Lmao you are one sad dude. You should rethink your pathetic life.
>>2742656I know you said cheap but you should try to hit nyc for a week if you head over to the states.
>>2744293>Says the fuckin nobody yapstar
>>2744179I was looking into Peru/Bolivia/Chile but the plane tickets alone were insane. I also can't speak any Spanish and every time I see these countries on the news it's violence whether it be political or criminal...>>2744295That feels like leaning in too hard on the "reliving my wasted youth" thing. I mean, that's exactly what I'm trying to do but I want to at least be dignified about it.
>>2744301NYC is worth a few days tbqh
>>2744299You are the one bragging about banging ancient hookers in SEA. Get a grip
>>2744304For the touristy stuff?
>>2742656just be careful. if I had $50k to blow in my early 20s I prob wouldnt have made it to my mid 20s. the sensible yet generic thing to do is actually travel to see/do shit. I'd prob just go to Japan, South Korea, Italy, and somewhere in Scandanavia just to have a well-rounded adventure. I would def avoid 3rd world shit holes if you're not an experienced traveller
>>2742656> I have wasted my youth so far by studying, working jobs I hate and playing video games. I would like to see more of the world and be less depressed in lifePlease listen to the cautious advice in this thread. Imagine you stretch your 50k over a year or two of traveling. You come back home. What's changed? You're back to living a depressed vidya life working shit jobs except you are now 50k poorer. I know because this is exactly what I did in my 20s and now I'm in my 30s and making way less money than anyone else I know in my age bracket. Do I have a bunch of cool travel stories? Sure, but they aren't paying the bills. The guys who I was making fun in my 20s for being boring and focusing on their careers? Yeah they're making bank and can actually afford to travel comfortably unlike me.Your number 1 priority right now needs to be taking that godsend of starting capital your stupid ass stumbled into and doing absolutely everything you can to not fuck it up and grow it into a bigger pile. Take a three month emergency fund from that pile and stick it in a high yield savings account. Put the rest of it in a broad market ETF. SPY, QQQ, VOO, VTI, doesn't matter which ones really. Give yourself a yearly travel budget. 5k for an annual trip or 2.5k for two trips. Draw down from your ETFs to fund those only when you need to. Everything you earn put it in the ETFs. Do not sell even if the market goes down. Do not stock pick, trade or chase mooning shitcoins, you're too fucking stupid for any of those things. You're also too fucking stupid to magically change your life with some grand traveller plan. Start small. Even an overnight road trip to a neighboring town will get you out of a mental rut. If you're in Western Europe you're within a few hours of hundreds of historically significant towns. And for God's sake man if you've got time to waste on vidya you've got time to address the fact that you're working deadend jobs. Fix that first.
>>2744306Yea Manhattan is kino
>>2744301>ChileChile is in no way cheap, it's probably more expensive than Spain for worse everything
>>2744301>Can't be too hot>Can't be too cld>Oh that's too expensive>Oh no the crime..the violence on the newsYou sound like an annoying and tedious faggot. Why bother travelling if you're such a delicate princess? Stay at home.
>>2744328let's hope he listens to this advice. You know if anyone is worth the effort of helping if, after you tell them about ETFs, they don't go and purchase e coins or some other dumb stuff
>>2742661>not volunteering to pay rent or cover significant bills Why are Europeans such fucking freeloaders
>>2744450You're probably right. This is more likely to just be an escapist fantasy to stave off the thoughts of suicide. >>2744477I just dumped $10k into the S&P 500. Some of that $50k is already invested into other all world ETFs too.
>>2744525You can have your escape fantasy just keep the duration and financial cost within reasonable parameters. Simple as
>>2744525good man
>>2744525>escapistbro just go to new york and stop overthinking it
>>2744525Cool, now you'll have lots of money when you're old without any memories.
>>2744548no , he'll just be dead
>>2744538You still haven't told me what to do once I'm in New York. I said I want somewhere cheap but you're telling me to book an expensive flight to an expensive city to do what? Pay my respects at the 9/11 hole? Watch someone get Wickerman'd on the subway? Please tell me what I could get out of New York that I couldn't get out of some European city like Berlin or Paris.
>>2744328This is unironically the only piece of advice anyone in this thread should listen to. Seriously, imagine having 50k in your 20s, AND your parents are ok with you living with them rent free, only to blow it at hanging around in other countries.>>2742656 Please, do not waste your money on traveling. Use it to get ahead while you can, and only after building up a ton of wealth and income, do you start traveling. Yes, life experiences are important, but it's more important that you protect your bottom line.
>>2742656>early 20s>wasted my youthstfu dude, also invest the majority of that $50k right now so you can travel as much as you want over time from the gains it can be generating.
>>2743082>10k will get you at least 2 months of premium pecker play. 20k, a solid 6 monthsImagine taking advice from someone with these math skills
>>2746198>>2747055I think you are both missing the point because I have had literally NO life experiences. I know it's largely a meme but doing the work -> eat -> sleep routine from being a teenager has made me insane. I have no good memories to look back on and most days I can't even remember what I did the day before. Every day is the same. Every month is the same every year is the same etc.I think about killing myself a lot and seeing my ETFs rise by 1% every few weeks doesn't help much (it's just numbers on a screen).
>>2747182There’s no escape anon. I spent 15 - 30 years old doing nothing but pursuing probabilities of pecker play. Right now, I’m doing the work eat sleep thing and I want to kill myself. I’m gonna work for two years until Nov 2026 and then I’m heading back out.I genuinely, genuinely feel terrible for people trapped with kids, mortgages, and any other chains that enslave them to their job and locality. I simply cannot obediently work 40-60 hours a week for years on end. I need a respite and thankfully I can have such a respite The world and society are so unfathomably shitty that it makes me dizzy when I step out of my house
>>2744328I'm at $4M net worth at 34 and this guy is right. If I hadn't invested in my early 20s I'd probably be a broke loser right now.
>>2747209larp
>>2742661Good on you. Your generation's going to be rich af because they're so content living at home in their 20's. Millennials would eat out of dumpsters to avoid living with their parents.
>>2747230Forget what I just said.Listen to this user: >>2744328You already have the starting capital, learn to invest. For life experiences, move out of your home town and live on your own. It will be the exact same as "traveling" except you'll work a job during it and the friends you make and the relationships you build will be meaningful and not disappear when you leave.
>>2742660easy as fuck i did it working a trade job and doing overtime if your over 20 you should atleast be making 24 bucks hour otherwise you're a fucking stupid retard
>>2747209Post retirement/brokerage/crypto balance. New 2025 rule, sorry … :)
>>2744328OP as a guy who is 25 and squandered 20K when I was 21-22 listen to him.Luckily I got my shit together and am on track to do pretty well now, but definitely get into investing now. Still travel if you want of course, it'll be good experience, but don't blow 50K on it. as this guys says 5K annually is a pretty decent budget, and you can probably squeeze 2-3 trips out of that if you're smart and make the money back(and more) on investments with the capital you have.
>>2747235I’m in college and there’s no part time jobs near me making 24 an hour. Where do you live where that’s normal?
>>2747209You sound like a poorfag. I work at google and my annual TC is already close to $1M.
