I am arriving in Budapest tomorrow and will stay there for a few days. May some nice /trv/-anons give me recommendations?
>>2745494also I am trans. Are hungarians trans friendly?

>>2745494Let girls on Vaci Utca guide you to the best bars. Don’t forget your ATM card and pin.
>>2745494Fisherman's Bastion and the Millennium Monument (City Park) for sure. FYI, Buda Castle and Parliament Building are kinda meh, you can look at photos at it in google, not worth the walk unless you have excess time. The restaurants are must go. Google some Hungarian cuisine that you are interested in and check it out. Try Retro Lángos Budapest. If you have time take a day trip by train from Budapest to Eger. You'll see some Ottoman history there with the Castle of Eger and Kethüda Minaret. Plenty of statues and beautiful churches there. Wine tasting or get some good meat.
there is a night thermal bath, could be funszimpla kert is nice and is full of tourists, you could get laid there easilywont get into restos as i dont know your budget etc
>>2745519>>2745536>>2745548>>2745554ThxBudget is mid, ca. 140k Forint for 5 days (just for leisure and food, not accomodation)
>>2745571its just right, a beer is almost a grand in most standup places and a decent three course meal will be 10k20-22k per day should be enough if you enjoy booze, if not, 15k
>>2745494Fisherman's Bastion and Buda Castle are must sees.I really enjoyed Aquincum and the Hungarian National Museum is fucking fantastic.Ruin Bars are cool and I've heard good things about the baths too. Some really interesting statues and monuments around the city too if you're into that.
>>2745571as others before me have already said, be sure to check out Fisherman's Bastion and the whole Castle District (including Várkert Bazár) in general. the Budapest History Museum in the Royal Palace is interesting if you like history and architecture, otherwise you can skip it. Aquincum, the nearby amphitheaters and the Thermae Maiores make for a great visit if you're a Romanboo. there's several nice baths in the city, from more modern ones like Palatinus and Csillaghegyi to the art nouveau Gellért, the Empire-style Lukács, or the Ottoman Veli Bej and Rudas baths. if you want to, you can go caving without any expertise at the Szemlő-hegyi and Pál-völgyi caves. Szentendre is a nice little town with charming cobblestone streets and cozy squares just north of Budapest, you can take the H5 suburban train from Batthyány square there for the perfect day trip. for drinks and eats, the Jewish/Party District basically covers all tastes and cravings.some personal favorites, restaurant-wise: - Tereza (Mexican)- Marumba (new wave Hungarian)- Simon's (awesome smashed burgers)- Két Szerecsen (European bistro-style)- Kéhli (traditional Hungarian)- Manu+ (Neapolitan pizza)- Hachi (Asian)- Twentysix (Mediterranean)
Update: Do any of you know of some good viewing spots for new year's fireworks that maybe arent overrun with tourists (optional)?
