https://www.rocairport.com/nonstopThese are all of the direct flights out of my airport. Which of these cities should I visit?
>>2747404While Atlanta, Baltimore and Chicago are all great, my first choice would definitely be Detroit.
>>2747404I'd assume you'd want to see something unique to your locale so somewhere in Florida, Nashville or Vegas.
>>2747404fyi, OP. Nonstop destinations aren't necessarily the cheapest due to airline price jewry. Florida seems to have some very affordable flights for $75 round-trip if you don't need luggage.
>>2747494+1. If you only fly nonstop, you're going to have to go to one of those shitty destinations. Chicago and Boston would be the only real choices,
>>2747494>>2747522OP here, it's less about the cost and more about the time. I'm basically taking a shotgun approach this year after having not traveled most of my life, taking a 3-4 day weekend here and there to visit somewhere new, and spending as little time as possible on the journey to and from. But if most of those choices are ass then I'd be willing to do some one-layover trips - I was looking at Portland ME for instance. General US cities to visit instead then?
>>2747842I'm not from the US but I've been to DC this summer and it was really fun
>>2747842Idk if you've literally never been anywhere then you need to know that these cities aren't really safe to just walk around unless it's like 7am. Regardless, NYC or DC are the picks if you've never been there.
>>2747842Ok that makes sense. What city are flying out of? What do you like to do? What's your budget? What time of year? If you want to do tourist stuff like museums, my answer would be different than if you want to hike or go to a nice beach, or camp. For tourist stuff, DC is hard to beat. All the museums are free. The Metro makes it really easy to get around and connects to anywhere in the city. The food is decent in general, not amazing, but there are some gems.
>>2748223>What city are flying out of?Rochester NY>What do you like to do?Mostly eat, but also just walk around and view interesting views, and find random shops to peruse. I like the idea of going to a place and thinking "it would be cool to live here" based on the regular things I see and do.>What's your budget?Nothing I think too hard about. I make a middling amount but use very little of it outside of bills and basics, got plenty of savings.>What time of year? Any and all. Though I'd prefer to stay out of southern states in the summer months. Thanks to you and >>2747846 >>2747886, DC is on my list, though I've heard some unsavory things so I'll need to research areas to avoid.
