Anyone had to deal with flights anxiety before? Idk why but the last flight I took in almost felt like I had to get off the plane during taxi. My heart was going crazy fast and my fingers tingling.. this came and went throughout the flight and now I fear going again. Has anyone taken pills to help this?
>>2747647i think everyone who travels a lot gets this every now and again. when i was travelling for work a few times a month, for a while i was absolutely convinced that i was going to die in a plane crash and it would be something like being shot down by the russians or something like mh17 or that recent one. i had to try to rationalise it away by thinking that at any given moment there are about half a million people in the air on flights around the world and the chances are that they will all get to their destination safelyi got over it eventually but for a while i thought a lot about getting a job that didn't require travel>Has anyone taken pills to help this?i didn't. i guess if you are american there's a good chance you are probably addicted to prescription meds anyway so yeah a few more won't hurt
I think a lot of it comes from the stress of getting to the airport, dealing with security, dealing with people in the airport, possible delays, getting crammed into tight spaces, etc. The way I would get around it is:Get TSA precheck(if you're flying out of American airports) and breeze through security. Get a credit card that gives you access to decent lounges. Enjoy the free food and drinks and take some time to relax.Book premium economy or higher for the comfier in flight experience and a champagne on tarmac. It sounds stupid but it doesn't feel "fair" if the plane crashes if you're in business class.
just make sure the pilots are male and white or Asian

>>2747647I deal with this too. It sucks and I have no answer for it.
God I hate these spoiled, pudgy, anxious First World faggots so fucking much. Half the reason I travel to Asian "shitholes" is just to get away from their hypersensitive, medicated, perpetually complaining lard asses.
>>2747647>Has anyone taken pills to help this?jup my gp gave me valium for the flight. this plus beer made my 12 hour flight from japan bearable
Sipping on duty free booze (you are under no circumstance allowed to open on board and you are even writtenly prohibited from doing so according to the pamphlet, you naughty naughty, buy our €6 JD cola, instead) to take the edge off.

>>2747647used to buy otc codeine at the airport in poland before flights and slowly pop the whole pack between the queue to security and boarding.was chill as fuck.$3.50 for 240mg of codeine, kek.
>>2747647Here is some free advice that will work guaranteed!Stop being a pussy
>>2747647The only anxiety I get on flights is having to be around peopleFlying itself is fine Yeah take some pills or alcohol what's the problem
>>2747647>last minute ask from boss to fly from LA to PHX for business>eh whatever sounds pointless but ill do it to show presence or whatever>1 hr flight to Phoenix>nice BMW for the rental car>finish up my work in 6 hrs and head to airport>get on the plane>fly back to LA>look out the window>I can see the streetlights>cool we are going to land>suddenly cant see anything>theres a dense bank of fog like 50ft the runway and only the runway>suddenly the engines spool up>the plane goes up into a steep climb>according to the map we are wrapping back around the Valley>shit aborted landing never been through that one before>we come back around>streetlights in view again cool>exact same thing again>plane takes off and we are in a holding pattern>“Uh, hey guys captain speaking, looks like we are diverting to Las Vegas to refuel lol”>entire plane gasps>land in Vegas maybe 45 mins later (we hauled ass)>refuel and take off out of Vegas after sitting on the runway maybe an hour>fly back out>tons of turbulence over the mountains out of Vegas>start to feel a bit anxious>the vodka I had in the airport in Phoenix is making me feel a bit nauseous as well>pull up to Burbank>okay the streetlights >almost there>PSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH>fucking hell god not again>go into holding pattern>circle the Valley for maybe 30 minutes>here we go>oh fuck not a cloud please not again>hit the runway hard>everyone claps So thats how a 1 hour flight turned into an almost 6 hour flight
>>2747647Remember that even if comparing worlds safest car ride with best chances for survival and worst airplane flight with worst pilots and workers in history even if you route the flight through Russian air space AND even if they shoot that commercial plane with an missile, the car ride is still ~500 times more dangerous.
