I'm trying to visit Bora Bora without completely breaking the bank. Any advice? Plane tickets + hotel for a week should come out to about $3000. I'm hoping to not spend more than about $5000 total. I'd like to hike and go snorkeling, and I know there are guided tours for that kind of thing, but I figured I could just bring my own gear and go by myself. I also don't mind sticking to (relatively) cheap food. I'll be using my own two feet to get around, so I won't be renting a car or a bike.
