The air looks so polluted. I'd love to live abroad, but air quality is a big issue for me.

because it is. the food is just as bad, if not worse

I read somewhere that Chinese fertilizers are contaminated with heavy metals and they export this cheap fertilizer all over the world. The sandwich I'm eating right now could have lettuce grown with Chinese cancer fertilizer.

i just spent a couple of weeks in the "most polluted city in the world" and i could feel my life expectancy decreasing on every breath. at one point i even felt (mild) physical pain in my lungs when i decided to go for a (not) leisurely walk around a lake. for my fitness level, im a lazy fuck now, i used to run 50+ miles per week but now i cant be bothered. i still walk i guess 20 - 40 miles per week. also im still coughing a couple of weeks later

in hindsight i should have probably put on a mask

Eh, that's nothing, I was in Chiang Mai during the burning season two years ago, that was some nasty ass shit, probably shortened my lifespan by a year, I don't know how locals are still alive after going through that shit every year

>the burning season
i've been in malaysia during that time of year
a few years ago it was so bad that you could barely see the other side of the street
must have been a good year for emphysema clinics

Really depends on the city. Shanghai and many southern cities really don't have a significant air quality problem anymore. Even to the extent they're still all worse than American cities, they have longer life expectancy so personally don't worry about it much

I'm in Laos and can attest that the cheese slices here are different. They seem to be devoid of milkfat. I got a roti john with cheese slices on top in VTE a while back. It blackens when heated instead of frying in its own fat and getting a little browned like real cheese.

Hanoi was the world's dirtiest city on that one particular day. Mere coincidence that Delhi and Lahore were marginally less polluted, when they regularly see 300+ AQI for days on end.

Laos has been AQI 150 or so...the haze is very noticeable, mixes with fog in the mornings. My cannabis-smoker lungs are absolutely impervious to mere brushfire smoke. Big city smog is different from countryside haze; I hate breathing factory pollution, burning plastic and vehicle exhaust.

Overall, if clean air is important to you, you should stay someplace with a coastal breeze.

“During their centuries of stewardship on Giedi Prime, the Harkonnens had made a habit of wringing the land for all it was worth. It was their right—no, their duty—to exploit this world for whatever it could give, and then move the villages to new land and new pickings. One day when Giedi Prime was a barren shell, the leader of House Harkonnen would undoubtedly request a different fief, a new reward for serving the Padishah Emperors. There were, after all, a million worlds to choose from in the Imperium.”
― Brian Herbert, House Harkonnen

>let's see the "better" third world country United States
>oh no corporations have illegal levels of microplastics in rice
>freedom American cheese is actually fake synthetic clone of cheese
>in the US, tap water and even the bottled water is mixed with chlorine
>people in US drink their every day water with trihalomethanes (THMs) and haloacetic acids (HAAs)
>for Americans, having a liver and kidney cancer, heart disease, and even death is normal daily life
>aspartame, sucralose, and high-fructose corn syrup in every single food from onions to "natural" salads
>this third world country has 570% higher chance to die than Africa and is $10 thousand dollars poorer in average than Africa
>Los Angeles, Bakersfield, and Fresno in California have worse air pollution level than China, Africa and Russia combined

You'd never know if those things existed in China, because they don't monitor for anything. There's absolutely no quality control.
>>
>>2749063
I'm from white country Finland and don't give a single fuck about your third world countries like United States or China. I just stated that they are equally bad. There is fucking zero quality control or even laws about food in the US, because corporations own the US. That is exactly why you eat and drink chemicals. Go watch your pharmaceutical & medical TV commercials and eat your corrosive high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) concentrated genetically modified plants, while thinking you are eating healthy because you didn't eat a hamburger made out of plastic, artificial trans fats, high-fructose corn syrup, sodium nitrate, monosodium glutamate, artificial colors, BHA/BHT, propylene glycol, acrylamide, carcinogens etc. Freedom!

Do you even know how full of shit you are. America has some of the most stringent food laws. The food is so clean, that we have problems getting good bacteria into our system. You can't sell regular sourkraut in the US.

You are delusional if you think the U.S. has better food quality. The U.S. is worse than Africa and China, with nonexistent regulations and corporate control over food. American diets are dominated by over-processed products filled with harmful chemicals like artificial sweeteners, high-fructose corn syrup, plastics, and pesticides. Meanwhile, African food is often organic by necessity, and Chinese diets emphasize fresh, minimally processed ingredients. U.S. food prioritizes profit over public health, leading to chronic illnesses and a declining health standard. Africa is shit, China even more, but United States is so low in the third world country list that there is not even a term for it. Maybe you could call it shit-shit-shit or something. I couldn't imagine eating American chemical-laden trash more than once a year.

The life expectancy for Caucasians the US (78 years) is nearly identical to to Finland(79 years). The leading cause of death in both countries are exactly the same, heart disease and cancer. Considering that accidental deaths in the US are much higher by percentage because of automobile accidents, you could argue that the food in the US is probably less likely to kill you than in Finland. It's probably because people in the US get more variety and better vitamins. The grocery stores in Finland are pretty grim. Smoked salmon and salted licorice should not be the cornerstones of your diet.
>>
>>2749108
>people in the US get more variety and better vitamins
Amerifats eat processed garbage. All you have to do is look out the window, bro. Half your diet is made up of some corn-derived slop.

>>

Americans couldn't afford an apple if they saw one. Trump was saying this all the time on the campaign trail. They try to put it in the cart and then at checkout they find out how much it costs and have to take it back to the fridge. It's really sad actually.
