How crazy would it be to visit India as a solo almost 30 y/o western man without too much travel experience?I'm from the US northeast, I've been around the US and Europe on my own but nothing too crazy / never in really remote places where people don't speak English or I can't use my phone to get out of a bad spot quickly. I want to have a real adventure before family and responsibility makes it impossible to leave again until I'm old and decrepit. Prospective itinerary:>Oct 9-10: arrive in Delhi, sightsee >Oct 11-12: fly to Varanesi, sightsee>Oct 13-16: fly to Dehradun, explore Uttarakhand>Oct 17-20: fly to Srinagar, explore Kashmir>Oct 21-24: fly to Leh, explore Ladakh>Oct 25: go homeUnfortunately my job won't let me take more than two consecutive weeks off. Would this be too overwhelming for a first time in India / Asia or is that all reddit nonsense and an able person would be able to figure it out. Anything to add or slash? Would the weather in the mountains be okay (reading mixed things about whether the Himalayas are really nice in autumn or crazy snowfall early)
>>2748440>flights every two or three daysthat sounds utterly miserable
>>2748440We need a pecker on the ground in India to give us an account of its studiousness. You’d be doing a great service to this board. Dont let us down anon..
>>2748440Don't go to fucking India, dude. Have some self respect, are you retarded???
>>2748501>that sounds utterly miserableThis. Give yourself some space to relax and think
>>2748440>travelling over the age of 20L M A ODo yourself a favor gramps and check into your retirement home already. You will be sticking out like a sore thumb wherever you go at your age.
I recommend booking reputable tour packages in advance for each location. Let your hired driver/guide handle everything for you, particularly the land transport. Don't put yourself at the mercy of random hustlers when you are under pressure to check off your tourist list. They know how to "reassure" you by telling you exactly what you want to hear.
>>2748622You have to be 18 to post here, loser
>>2748440it wouldn't be crazy at all. you just have to realise everything will take longer than you can imagine, everyone will lie to you and traffic will move at 1 mile per hour. and you will shit water for a week.
>with not too much travel experienceYou're going to get robbed blind
>>2748440>without too much travel experience? One thing to really watch out for is people trying to slip drugs into your lugagge. I know a guy who nearly got sentenced to death because some smugglers hid drugs in his stuff. He was lucky to get away with life in prison.
>>2748440It's not crazy at all but DO NOT VISIT DELHI.It's not worth it to see the delhi area, and you will get sick just being there. go directly for nature instead. Dehradun is great and reminds me of yosemite a little bit
>>2748667what the fuck is wrong with them? do they do it because they hate whites? that kind of shit makes me not want to travel at all and just resign myself to my bedroom and never leave. i hate deceitful, malicious trickers.
>>2748440I wouldn't recommend going to India as a newb, especially solo. I know people that have done it as their first international trip, but it really is a crazy place.
>>2748775the only real problem is getting sick, it's not like there's any other danger. And assuming money isn't an issue OP can just sit in his hotel room until he gets better.
>>2748501>>2748608Which would you cut and where would you spend more time?
>>2748801See >>2748743Get your connecting flight to a more appealing destination right off the bat. Save Delhi for a time when you want to delve balls-deep into the filth and misery of human existence.
>>2748440idk why anyone would want to go to India. It's a shithole. I'm guessing you're a sex tourist to boot?
>>2749013dude most of the himalayan range is india. If that's not worth seeing to you, you have no soul
