most of the west has 30 day visa free now, but for those of us from the countries which don't for political reasons (uk, sweden. lithuania, czech, usa, canada...), a few weeks ago china extended the visa free transit policy from 6 days to now be 10 days. you have to stick to one city/ area, but something to consider. i will do it but im gonna be in taiwan for a few months and i cant really be bothered to give it a go while flying in or out of there, so not before this summer for me (or maybe by then we will get visa free but i doubt it)

Is Xiamen any good? My favorite Cdrama is set there and it looks comfy af, but people are saying it's all facade.
