Did travel/tourism change for the worse since 2020-2022 (when COVID panic was at its peak)? Absolutely. There are ways that travel/tourism worsened, but not necessarily for any COVID-related reasons. Things did get worse during and after that time period. Some countries had poor leadership, which lead to downfall of their tourism industry, or made it more difficult for their citizens to afford travel. Not all the reasons were directly related to COVID, though COVID may have helped to highlight flaws in leadership.
