>Getting close to my 30's
>Saving £1,500 at my current job
>Got roughly £50(ish)k in investments and home equity
>Assuming I don't get sacked and work a year or two I can buy a 2nd house and earn a combined rental income of £800 / month from both properties after accounting for expenses

Where can I realistically live on this in EA or SEA and still be able to enjoy life a little? I work in finance but I can imagine most white foreigners get relegated to teaching English which I'm fine with if that's the only option. How much can you earn teaching english and what other job opportunities could a foreigner fall into?

>Assuming I don't get sacked and work a year or two I can buy a 2nd house and earn a combined rental income of £800 / month from both properties after accounting for expenses
lol, lmao even.

800 euro is doable virtually any country in SEA
> How much can you earn teaching english and what other job opportunities could a foreigner fall into?

None without a degree, most are picky now and just bring in a pinoy who speaks it well enough for pennies. Why not just focus on a remote job, learn to build a VPN server at I guess the house you own to host, and roll in SEA with a paycheck?
>>
>>2903233
Remote jobs in finance have become virtually none-existent over the past several years. At best you'll get a hybrid role where you're expected to come into the office 2-3 times / week.

Idk any other industry that offers a better arrangement than that if I'm honest.

Oh it's another larp fanfic thread of our residential 40 year old neet incel from the UK.
Ignore it.

That ain't shit if you want to live in SEA with any degree of first world amenity

Nowhere anymore, you need $1500 to live a normal life, if you want to live like a poor person you can live on $800 anywhere including wherever you're right now so why move?
>>
>>2903359
what's the amount then? We're talking about a fairly normal lifestyle. A place to live, a gym membership, eating out and travelling out to the country side.
>>
>>2903366
At minimum you want $3k in somewhere like Bangkok and live like someone from the first world.
If you are happy to slum it up elsewhere in Asia $2k
You're just going to end up a lolcow for everyone else otherwise, which I assume is the case here

What's weirder a guy who makes larp threads or a guy obsessing about the guy making larp threads?

I'm on biz and and like to argue that a certain investment is bad. The cultists for that scam investment get enraged and spend hours per day speculating about and attacking me and have done so for ten years. They haven't even spent ten minutes researching their own investment just hurr durr in 2 weeks we be rich day after day year after year. Same thing going on here really. We are all trapped just chill out and enjoy
>>
>>2903367

$3k? Are you travelling down to Nana Plaza every night or something?
>>
>>2903367
>$3k in somewhere like Bangkok
>first world
Top kek. You Need at MINIMUM $5k and even then that is borderline slumming it.

I said first world, as though you'd notice being what you are.
-One third rental in somewhere not filled with literal filth and stay dogs.
-One third on life, going out, cracking beers, having a non whore gf
-One third savings for a rainy day when you end up in a coma and slightly more braindead from a traffic accident

Reminder to all anons: avoid these people like the plague in Thailand, they're pure fucking scum nigs and want to drag you down. Holiday or not, keep it classy
>>
>>2903377
You can have all the money in the world in Bangkok and still be living in filth everywhere, anyone with half a clue knows this
There's a reason the King spends his entire year in Europe apart from ceremonies.
>>
>>2903378
>-One third rental in somewhere not filled with literal filth and stay dogs.
AT LEAST $2K. Or else you will be living in a roach nest with nogs.
>-One third on life, going out, cracking beers, having a non whore gf
Another $2k at least. It's cheaper to have a whore gf desu.
>-One third savings for a rainy day when you end up in a coma and slightly more braindead from a traffic accident
Need at least $1k for a rainy day. Dumbass.
>>
>>2903381
$2k on rent is like London prices and like 4x the average local monthly salary

Ok and? They're poor countries because people are poor. Doesn't mean that the same life doesn't cost exactly as much as in every other country. Did you not hear about globalization?
>>
>>2903232
instead of TEFL you could get a teaching degree in the UK and be a subject teacher at an international school. free housing and a good salary if you are at a good school. asia has many private expensive tuition international school where you could earn £2-5k a month depending on location and subject. assuming you are in the UK and have a degree already
>9 to 12 months (full-time) for postgraduate routes like a PGCE if you already hold a university degree.
TEFL threads never mention this for various reasons.
tuition fee for the PGCE can be paid by a loan which you don't pay back if you don't pay UK tax & you can extra help because they want teachers so you can do it for free effectively.
a lot of international schools struggle to get people.
>>
>>2903471
Dude if I could do all that why the fuck would I go to a third world shithole?

>>2903487
early retirement instead of struggling to save in a normal/high cost of living area
people think of retirement as something for old people but it's an account balance not an age
>>
>>2903471
Cheers mate.

Is this viable if you didn't graduate from a Russel Group uni? I graduated with a bachelors in Economics from a mid tier uni.

How intense is this course? Is the workload bearable with a ft job?
>>
>>2903490
If you have that kind of money you can just retire anyway? Just buy another house and live from rent?
>>
>>2903501
i don't know what it is like doing a part-time PGCE but at some point they make you do
>in total the programme must include 120 days school experience.
as a placement in a school so that is likely hard with a FT job but there will be common solutions to it. the better the uni you graduated from the better the school will see you but the demand is always there and some very expensive schools in China, which is where my experience is, are hiring africans because they cannot find western people and they are paying good salaries.

landlording sucks, especially single occupancy structures. you either do all the listing and marketing, maintenance, collection, eviction yourself or you pay a company to do it for you. by that time you're not really making significant income between nonoccupancy periods between tenants and the cut the rental company will take, even if you pay cash instead of mortgaging
