Obviously he's not portrayed as flawless, but the ending comes off as triumphant in his favor, when I don't think it's deserved.He believes human value is derived from their ability to withhold and deceive.While Angier claims in his final moments to deceive in order to make people wonder if there's more to the world than one would initially think.In the end, Borden drives his wife to suicide and regains custody of his daughter with the help of Cutter who also seems to not have any ethical issues with this trick.And even though his daughter seemed to know what he was doing, she must not know of her mom's suicide as you'd think she would resent her father for that.
