This movie's rabbit hole goes very deep and no one ever talks about it for some reason. It's basically Polanski taunting the audience about how the world really works and how untouchable elites like him are -- he re-enacted the ending IRL afterwards and got away with it just like the villain in the movie. And that's just the surface
