You usually don't need to order before knowing if a place is coffee first, there are a lot of dead giveaways (superautomatic machines, sizing options etc.). I find a flat white is still too milky and only tastes good if they're using a darker roast to punch the flavor through. Cappuccinos are great although he's correct that it's a fast drink. For me, the best a cafe can offer are pour overs with bean options.
