The more I read about Alien lore and people's conceptions about the Alien world, the more I think parts of it need to be rewritten. Xenomorphs for example, they don't need to eat. And they're silicon based life forms, as I just found out. What the hell? (apparently it's hinted at in the original movie and expanded upon in the novelization). They should need to eat a lot, otherwise they wouldn't grow. They should be carbon based, not silicon, otherwise they couldn't use human hosts. Alien: Earth missed an opportunity by not showing the xenomorph eat bits of its victims every time it killed one.
