It's actually really good. Season 1 was mostly a dud outside of the first episode and the last ones with Day getting revenge on the assassins. Then season 2 improved a lot and had some great content and finally the black womyn who couldn't act (Salvor) was killed off thank god.And now season 3 has been actually fantastic so far, it's clearly the best sci-fi show you can watch right now and is miles ahead of anything else.

Almost everyone believed in ESP and that humanity would harvest it in the future as a scientific field and technology.There's a lot of shit we believe to be scientific today that will turn out to be false. For example when I grew up it was "common knowledge" that women are less sexual and care more about emotional connection with their partner, while men prefer sex. Now the consensus is actually that women are more sexual than men and men are craving emotional connection more. These are assumptions we build our entire social fabric around. What if AI cracks animal languages and we can have genuine conversations with animals and we find out some are at human intelligence, it's just such an alien intelligence that we can't have a fair comparison? What if whales becomes technological, or hell, what if they have culture and stories to tell, or religions that might even entice humans to believe in?Foundation is pretty grounded if you think about it like that.
