Let's be real. Most barbers/hairstylists are total shit. It's difficult to find someone decent. I really miss the barber shop I went to when I was a kid. It was all a bunch of old dudes and they would take a lot of extra time on the edges around the ears and sharpening the back of the neck. When I was in the service there was a barber at a NEX that used a straight razor that was awesome. I've maybe had less than a dozen GOOD haircuts my entire life.

I have nice thick hair and would go for the "Solider Boy" but the spot where the sideburn meets the side getting all unruly around the ear drives me fucking nuts. So I need the sides close and somehow faded to a top long enough to be wavy - NOT the faggy sidebuzz in three of the OP examples. But I don't think I've ever noticed an example of that and don't know that it wouldn't look weird.
