Why does she look hugely older than Dr Venture when in flashbacks of them being younger they seemed the same age? Dr Venture is 42 here and she looks 55+

Welcome to the Walled World of Female Aging
>>
>>214141586
look at that huge camel toe
>>
>>214141586
She aged worse. Many such cases. Also being totally insane makes you age worse too.
>>
>>214141609
she might be insane, but dem titties aint
>>
she barely looks older and women age worse, stupid thread, should've just made a Venture Bros thread that wasnt retarded fake bait
>>
I'm confused, is she really Hank and Dean's mother in any way? Why is she obsessed with them? The movie (i think it was the movie) revealed Dr Venture grew the boys in an artificial womb however that doesnt strictly mean they dont have a mother. who donated the egg, for example? im confused maybe im too low IQ to see when they spelled it out for me
>>
>>214141702
in the episode where Dean is her penpal she reveals she wants to "finally give birth to them" via un birthing. In Rusty's death confessional with Sgt Hatred he says something along the lines of "Yeah I let her pretend she was their mom. Free daycare."
contextually now you might be able to go as far as to assume he lied about using her eggs for their fertilization
>>
>>214141702
it was the supervillain chicks daughter who provided the eggs iirc
>>
>>214141586
Its the combination of her skin being darker without having a highe saturation her hair being blonde and her eyes blue
>>
bump
>>
>>214141586
Should've just keep her as the boys' mom, instead of never resolving the movie night massacre plot thread.
>>
>>214141586
This was a perfectly good origin for the boys.
Walking it back later on really made it seem like the show was spinning it’s wheels

I remember really liking the Venture Bros. Did it age okay?
>>
>>214141586
Ben Edlund should just get Doc and Jackson back and do a new Tick series
>>
>>214142804
>>214144056
On further recollection and looking into it, you are correct it wasn't a fact, only implied and left somewhat ambiguous intentionally. Apologies for my arrogance
>>
>>214144250
No. After the cloning machine broke and they had to keep a single pair of twins it started taking itself too seriously. Instead of wacky adventures that parody Johnny Quest, you had melodramatic coming of age stories and contrived "league business" shit that stopped being funny years ago.

Is Venture Bros. the Infinite Jest of cartoons?
>funny
>at times clever, perhaps too clever for its own good, such that it tends to find itself talking over the audience (but even then perhaps unintentionally at times), but sincere at its heart
>driven by auteur(s)
>multitudinous characters, many of whom are tangentially or circumstantially involved in other characters' threads in minor/funny ways
>auteur/genius father figure, with venture sr. being way more malicious than Himself but i digress
>spies, lots of spies with double, triple, and quadruple alliances
>would have more or less resolved itself off screen had it not been for the movie
>>
>>214145462
As if anyone here read Infinite Jest

it's not only just them getting too deep into their own lore, but also that the two creators absolutely loved subversive answers to their own mystery boxes. they delighted a bit too much in that to a detriment

I too believe that but it was never explicitly stated. Just hinted at. It could be in reality either one of them
>>
>>214145560
I'm gonna read it now Well listen to it at work , if it's like the Venture Bros
>>
>>214143719
Getting rid of triana was probably the worst offender
I think her voice actress was the ex wife of doc hammer tho so it makes sense
>>
>>214145462
There was supposed to be a whole season 8 and then it got cancelled and pretty much all of season 8 got condensed into the final movie instead. Would've loved to see the full season because the movie was lame
>>
>>214141586
she has literally spent every minute of every day for 15+ years (forgot the boys age) either in psych wards, police custody, or plotting vengeance.
Brock even says this is like an every few year experience.

stress like that ages you.
>>
>>214141586
stress from being insane ages anyone 2-3x

That is totally sufficiently specific, thanks

Not to that extent, no.
>>
>>214147497
If anything, they were being generous. Usually it's worse.
>>
>>214144250
i really liked it personally, but it got murdered by adult swim.
>>
>>214144092
I don't know anon, maybe you're right
>>
>>214141586
I really hate the way most of the women on the Venture Bros have this like snub-nose with giant nostrils showing. Triana, Molotov, Dr. Girlfriend (in some episodes, her look changes over time). I get what they're going for, but it doesn't look good in the style.
>>
>>214148044
It makes them look like pigs. It sends a message.
>>
>>214141586
It’s a cartoon so ask the artists. Besides this could be a personal problem.
>>
>>214147536
I never saw a well-aging man.

Quizboy here. Similar structure to IG in which much of the plot occurs before the start of the series, and many climactic scenes are only alluded to such as movie-night and the First Treaty of Tolerance Summit. Several finales can be a full movie on their own, e.g., Showdown of Cremation Creek, Senpai that Slays Together, Prom Night and All That And Gargantua II. Like IJ it respects the intelligence of the viewer and is more rewarding on the 2nd watch/read when you know all the backstory.

There are practically no ends left untied, characters are compelling with unique arcs rarely seen in other media, voicework is masterful, and it exploits every pop culture reference to its logical conclusion. Where Rick and Morty is peppered with allusions, Venture Bros. instead gives a full episode apiece of Nancy Drew, the Scooby gang, Green Hornet; shit, they even put the Astro Boy, Robin, the Hardy Boys and actual Johnny Quest in a group therapy session from where they all go harrass the latter's long since retired arch-enemy.

Blue Morpho arc was fun, and the movie is all it could've been. A whole season about Hank doesn't lend itself to great "filler" episodes like we had seen so far, besides the finale was already largely a Hank episode.

>>214146178
There're recordings but it doesn't work in audioformat. The text is so dense it's hard not to miss something, even reading carefully. And some footnotes, though essential, can be chapters on their own.

>A whole season about Hank doesn't lend itself to great "filler" episodes like we had seen so far, besides the finale was already largely a Hank episode.
I think the Triad scene is emblematic of what the format of the season would've been, with the search for Hank having a lot of tangents and distractions thrown in during the road trip.

>Jonas Sr not being the secret president was a let down
Jonas as and adventurer and public figure inaugurated ordinances to keep the "super-villain-super-spy" game in check, but was a scientist first and foremost, not a politician. Besides, he was a scummy guy all things considered.
>American gladiator lady not being the boys mom was a let down
Warriana? Why would she be? She was the WW of the Avengers parody team Team Venture have to deal with after the move to New York.
>getting rid of Triana and her hot friend was a let down
To be honest, Triana and her hot friend as supervillains would've been too predictable. That would be like the boys becoming superheroes. It's best left to speculation.
>cocktease never returning was a let down
Was she not killed in Prom Night when the car veered off the cliff?

>>214150563
I totally forgot that scene. Triad episodes were always a welcome treat.
>>
>>214151139
>Was she not killed in Prom Night when the car veered off the cliff?
She had an episode in season 5.
>>
>>214151262
Ah yes, but then Brock had to fake her death. Still, not a bad send off.
>>
>>214141702
Debbie donated her ovaries to Rusty in exchange for him replicating her moms powers on her, giving her invisibility powers
Myra was gaslighted into believing she was the boys mom by Rusty because hes a uncaring idiot

Still would tho.

I could have gone for another episode of him and another episode of Wes Warhammer.
