So the film production would have had to pay the cartoon production company for the rights to use Beebop and Rocksteady. Really retarded that they didn't do this. Believe it or not, there was a whole fight about the use of different color bandana/mask, if that was difficult to agree, imagine rocksteady and bebop since they was designed by Peter Laird for Playmate Toys and then added to the cartoon by Fred Wolf and David Wise. Eastman and Laird really wanted to add them to TMNT 2: Secret of The Ooze, but they drop the idea because both characters was tied to playmates AND fred wolfAlso, it was planned to show Professor Jordan Perry at the end as an Utrom, but was dropped since kids could confuse it with krang. Also the movie was shown to kids before release and they tought Professor Jordan Perry was Baxter Stockman. Yeah, no one knew the comic turtles canon, only the cartoon.
