This fuckin' hack kept checking his phone for his shitty notes about a trailing off joke that'd go nowhere. I heckled him a few times because he couldn't think of something to say and would freeze up. I don't know if he needed coke or something but this guy is terrible at standup without a series of edits cutting out all his fuck ups. God i love heckling, especially comedians that deserve it. Sometimes someone just tenses up and they genuinely need someone to jog their memory, other times comedians just fucking suck and have no business being on stage. When I do standup I actively do not write jokes and attempt to capture attention through my energy alone, and it's always terrible because i have contempt for my audience because anyone going to an openmic comedy show deserves a terrible night out. God i love comedy so much.

I once saw maron getting heckled. Another night, I saw that very heckler try to do standup. He couldn't even think of any jokes and his energy was horrendous. He had no business being on stage. The audience ended up entertaining themselves with eye rolls and grimaces of half sympathy, half "my grandma, dead in her coffin does better stand-up" looks. No reason to heckle these poor bastards. I'd never do such a thing.
