Star Trek 2, in addition to being the GOAT trek kino, introduced the GOAT trek uniforms which have never since been approached aesthetically.
The fat old man captain vest is PEAK
yep when I was a kid I always liked these more than the tee shirts from TOS
The field jackets were top notch.
>>214163430I like red
Never understood the fold down flap and when it was ok to have it open. Is it like loosening one's tie after work?
>>214163430all star trek uniforms look like shit, that's the main reason I never took this show seriously
>>214163653Attention whoring is a effeminate trait.
>>214163430Bones should have kept his big ass medallion from TMP
>>214163430This is what I expect Google to deliver, not Wikipedia slop.https://forgottentrek.com/the-wrath-of-khan/redesigning-starfleets-uniforms-for-star-trek-2/Credit: Nicholas Meyer -> eff the pajamas they should look like Navy uniforms -> Give me a tribute to The Prisoner of Zenda (1937) uniforms
>>214163653Repost but first take at least one penis out of your mouth.
>>214163501T shirt. Because it looks like a letter T.
>>214163740Star Trek has long had issues with trying to balance being researchers with being a military. The PJs were solidly in the comfy leasurewear of researchers category, which is funny because apparently they were actually not very comfortable to wear.>>214163731Watching that transporter scene made me happy to know that Jack and Larry were still hanging out at the Regal Beagle.
>>214163430But I think this is mostly correct, and my preference, along with TNG movie greys. A military uniform should be mostly UNIFORM with subtle trim indicating distinction relevant to the military, but harder to see for outsiders.
>>214163430Sorry, Star Trek IV is the best one.>One damn minute, Admiral.
>>214164421>the same uniformsbot reply
>>214164482The entire movie is superior. II is great, but it uses a cheap fake-out death to get the tears flowing, so people mistake it for the best one. It's the second best.
>this thread takes off while >>214162558 diesI lol'd
>>214164528I wouldn’t say that Spock’s death is cheap, it’s pretty much the culmination of Kirk’s arc throughout the movie. He’s never had to face a no win scenario because he’s always cheated his way out. Spock making the final play to save the ship at the cost of his own life was a brilliant turn around for that. Sure search for Spock turned around and brought him right back, but that wasn’t planned ahead of time so I give it a pass
>>214164528Even the science researcher uniforms somehow looked better despite being mostly the same as in previous movies.
>>214164532>We have a member of the crew whose natural pheromones put human men's sex drive into the red zone. How should we dress her?>What about a "skirt" so short that you could count her pubes if she had any.>BRILLIANT!
>>214164421>>214164728>is that a lot?ST 4 is why Trek.>>> Wars. We can take our main characters and drop them into a lighthearted comedy, still being faithful to the characters, and nobody misses a beat. That never happens in Wars.
>>214164482He's talking about preferring the movie overall. And anyway most of that film the crew are wearing civilian clothes, with the exception of Scotty and Uhura and Scotty has some one-off variant of his uniform that I don't think we see anywhere else.
>>214164810V'ger dressed her in that
>>214164920Nah, V'ger sent her into a sonic shower naked.
>>214164839This 100%. Wars is so super serious all the time.
>>214165016wasn't she possessed by V'ger or something? From what I remember she wore sexo outfit after she was assimilated or whatever.Boring movie.
>>214164889We see it in Search for Spock, which makes sense as IV is continuous with III. Those Klingon replicators didn't do Starfleet uniforms.
>created to be the perfect man>IndianWas Roddenbery retarded?
>>214165229Think it's meant to be a bathrobe and no one was going to tell V'ger to put on some pants. Funny that they had her/V'ger walking around in heels. Still better than the boots they had initially picked out.
>>214165382He knew they'd be the most open to genetic engineering.
>>214164839Yup. There has never been a Wars comedy with major characters. Trek fans loved seeing their favorites in a comedy while being true to the characters.
I like TMP unis better.
>>214165544Dick box
>>214164839I dunno, The Mandalorian was unintentionally funny.
