I’ll start: I have never seen the x-files
There are three kinds of X-files episodes.Self contained monster or ghost story which are hit or miss. The comedic episodes which are usually great. Then the story arc episodes with the smoking man which are usually boring.

I've tried to watch Alien about four times and it's completely boring shit I turn off before it's halfway through. I just have good taste I guess.

But I remember it getting bad in later seasons.The first movie was great.Nice to go back to the series and watch it with a new eye that everything is alien related. Including the vampire and ghost episodes. It's all "down to earth" (ironically) alien related.

The mytharc had potential when it was more restrained like the episode about glowniggers injecting kids with alien DNA and the weird cult of vegetarians in town acting as a control group, led by a probable glownigger. It got fucking retarded when it spiraled off into clones and bees and ancient alien shit.
