So you have shit like AotC not really delving into Anakin's character, TPM not showing more of the Order's conflicting ideals, and RotS not showing why Anakin is so moody or even justifying why he wants to become a Jedi Master other than pride (in the novel he wants to because the archival section for Masters only may contain information vital to saving his wife's life)TLDR Prequels' main issue was how much shit got cut in production. The cutscenes that are available on the 'tube aren't even all, there's way more to be found if you go down the rabbit hole (though a lot of the concepts thrown earlier in development are quite crap. I'd be content with the film with just the cut scenes tbf)
