How is it? Kino? Starslop? Surely it can't be any worse than modern Trek
>>

Season 1 tries to hard to be a straight up parody of Star Trek and isn't nearly as good as seasons 2 and 3 for that reason (as later seasons are more serious / understated and end up having the most kino plotlines as a result)
>>
>>214197088
first season is fun, gave up on it in early season 2 when 3 straight episodes were about homosexuality
>>
It's Seth's TNG fanfictioon with occasional Family Guy jokes thrown in. Too much fucking shipping though.

It was fun to see them hit the same kind of vibe as TNG and VOY, the writers obviously knew and loved those shows a lot. But yeah, S2 and S3 are much better.

Skip every episode about the gay klingons
>>
>>214197088
it opens with his wife cheating on him with an alien and i couldnt watch it past that
>>
>>214197396
I got past that but in season 2 when she starts fucking other dudes again and he's like "okay, that's fine, you do you" and is super nice to the guy cucking him, I couldn't take it anymore

I'm conflicted anons but will check it out

The captain's ongoing relationship with the evil nazi alien woman in later seasons might be my favorite thing from this show.
That, and the interesting ways they keep shuffling which faction is on which side of the galactic war from season to season.
Wasn't this supposed to be getting a revival?

The gayest point in the series was S1's mpreg episode. That put me off watching for a while, but once I forced myself passed it, the rest was much easier to watch.

Last i heard they were filming a fourth season

It's pretty uneven, some episodes are amazing, others are very meh. It's nice watching a modern colorful Star Trek TNG-like show. Seth McFarlane's cynism kind of tarnishes it. If you pay attention there's an undertone of how much he hates wives and children and just wants to bang barely legal girls he hires and fires to act on the show.
In the show traditional relationships exist only to be annoyiing and to be mocked, like the black doctor lady's yelling at her bratty kids and her pathetic attempt at a relationship with a android. Even the two gay dude aliens have a boomer humor bickering relationship. Also McFarlanes early 2000's plebbit fedora simplistic atheist worldview leaks in too.
But I'm going on too long about that. It has some cool plotlines, especially with the AI robot rebellion and war, and time travel. The episode where the brown alien guy is addicted to holodeck porn was the most hilarious thing ever IMHO.

It wasn't bad but I don't think anyone will recapture the feeling of Trek. Certainly not someone who makes comedies. He tried a few times though. Some of the episodes worked too.

Kino. I've seen all three seasons more than twice now.
It finds a decent moral middle ground between TNG and DS9.

Ted the series is great too, pity it's so short.

Season 2 of Ted coming January/February 2026. Really the only show I'm looking forward to at the moment.

Cool. Georgia Whigham is awesome.
I hope they do another Halloween episode but I guess it's not the kind of show where they do that.

The last season removed the humor element entirely. It was fucking unwatchable.
>>
It was shit and Seth was wrong for the main lead.

Better than Discovery and more Star Treky than SNW.

Honestly the best Trek-like show.

S1 has some cringe ''''comedy''', but becomes more serious and enjoyable as time goes on.

TNG did it much better with the "commander, tell me about your reproductive organs" episode. Also the book The Left Hand of Darkness showed a much better way of doing a genderless society than just having them all be manly men.
