The way characters act in anime is not realistic at all. Its grossly over exaggerated. Also japs for the most part can't do exposition properly. You have characters standing around for 15 minutes explaining every little thing and then having a flashback mid rambling, and the flashback itself is rambling. And all they were trying to do was decide if they should go get lunch or not. That shit doesn't fly in a real movie/show. So yes, you could make a good adaptation of anime stories, but they wont be anything like what they're adapting...because anime is on a certain level fucking stupid. That's the price of admission when you're watching anime, you have to admit its kinda dumb and just go with it
