I legitimately enjoy the snyderverse a lot. Sorry but he wasn't a good batman. Probably more the writing, his performance wasnt bad. But he didn't give any energy off that was enjoyable or even dark/cool. The scenes in bvs where he was running and rescuing people was great. In particular when he sees the human children at risk and you realize the BATMAN wheels are turning in his head - incredible. But after that he just doesn't have a ton of life.

Looks don’t make the character. Live action Batman should always be a white man, but he shouldn’t have to 100% look like the comic book (which is retarded as a concept considering a muscle bound giant is a huge target and he’s supposed to be a ninja sneaking around). Keaton mogs every other Batman in both aura and feel, and he was 5’9. You believe fully that his Bruce Wayne/Batman is a nutjob that lives for every second of being Batman. There’s pathos, darkness, and he has the coolest suit. Pattinson comes close as well despite being a skinny guy. I could see him growing into tbe role as Bruce becomes older. Bale was a phenomenal Bruce Wayne. Affleck LOOKS the part but it was all over the place tonally. He just doesn’t sell the “my Robin died so I’m a maniac now” thing. The performance matters far more than looks, which is why this Alan Richson guy would be a fucking disaster in the role and Gunn should find someone else.
