"Liberalism" is a broad enough term that you could easily find liberal people whose ideals have no conflict with anything you just said. Also, its a fantasy.

Don't forget that the Rebellion is literally a reactionary movement. It was started to restore the Republic, and has a very Old Right vibe to it, given that many of its founding members are queens, dukes, princesses, and other members of old nobility.Not to mention it's fundamentally tied to the old religious traditions of the Republic since they revere the Jedi and seek the help of those that survived the Empire's purges.
