WotC really dropped the ball during the prequel era. The only gaming miniatures they made available were a half-dozen metal minis in 32mm scale. If you wanted enough for a battlemap, you had to track down one of the HTF board games like The Queen's Gambit.

Why didn't the alliance just hyperdrive through the deathstar and blow it up that way?

In the actual EU canon Force Healing was simply an extremely rare and difficult art, which is why so few Jedi wielded it.

The only more difficult branch were Force Illusions.
>>
>>214210451
>quick, Obi-wan, your crust...
>>
>>214211710
Yet in many EU games like kotor or jedi knight basically all force users can learn those skills and often quite early, well I guess it can be excused due to being a gameplay mechanic
>>
>>214210451
He did not pick this force power at level up
>>
>>214211758
Exactly, it's the typical "gameplay vs. story segregation."

Funnily enough both KOTOR games solved the same issue when it came to the basic question of "why the fuck does your character grow in power so fast" exactly via storytelling.

Idk if you've played the jedi knight class storyline in Swtor but its a hilarious contrast to the kotor games in that regard.
The player character is like rey on steroids without even having the excuse of a powerful force using ancestor.

Truth is, he didn't want to save Qui-Gon. One less rival in the order.
>>
Why didn't Quigon use force speed to dodge Maul's attacks?
>>
>>214211949
Maybe he was but Maul was also using force speed to make his attacks faster
>but the camera didn't show them moving that fast
Maybe they were fighting faster than the eye could see all the time and their movements were just depicted as slower for cinematic reasons so the audience could actually see what happens

So funny how lightsabers were absolutely dogshit in Dark Forces and the best powers were push and pull.

Yep, there's a reason no one other than Jedi use them.

>Force-heal
Not a lorefag, didn't Force healing get introduced in Episode 9? What a shitshow that movie was. Anyway, Qui Gon needed to die for the plot to progress so that Anakin could be trained by Obi Wan.
>>
>>214213009
Akchually Luke could heal at an accelerated rate in the Thrawn nobels, but it was a force meditation technique where he basically went into a coma for 30 minutes, not a medkit

lightsabers should've been ceremonial weapons only. Battles between force users should've been almost entirely force focused and before anyone goes on a rant against the games or the prequels
>Luke uses force speed and force jump after Vader knocks him into the freezing chamber.
Luke doesn't just gently float out of the chamber like Vader floats down the stairs in the same fight. Luke takes off like a Saturn V rocket.
Later on Vader creates a force storm that wins the fight. All this takes place in the beloved OT.
As for the games. Yeah, you just used the saber to deflect the majority of incoming fire until you could get close enough for force powers. In Outcast lightening could clear entire rooms in seconds.

if only there was a weapon that could cut trough walls and damage the mechanism
>>
>>214213273
Obi-Wan was well versed in the effects of disrupting the insane amount of concentrated energies required to power a shield generator. Cutting through it with a lightsaber would likely have created an explosion 300x more powerful than a modern day nuclear weapon. It's actually pretty well written if you think about it.

Obi wan was tired
>>
>>214213224
This. The sequels showed that Luke could use the force from an entirely different planet.

They couldn't get at the shields from orbit.
