>seeing Bruno
>meatspin scene
>old couple gasps and walks out

>seeing Cloud Atlas
>very normie-proof movie
>theater is half as full by the end credits
>some boomer behind me says, “wtf was that shit that was so confusing” as he walks out

>any horror movie
>usually 1-3 people walk out because it’s too scary (i mean who would have thought horror would be scary)

do people just not research the movie theyre paying money to see beforehand?
>>
>>214211918
No.

These people injected pure cancer into their bodies just because the tv told them to dude. Calling them cattle would be an insult to hamburgers
>>
>I want to see this movie
vs
>its Friday I want to see "a" movie
a lot of older people just show up and pick a genre like ordering off a restaurant menu and it kind of works because studios do plan release dates around genre competition
>>
When I saw Megalopolis a bunch of people walked out lol
>>
>>214211918
>Watching Bruno with a friend in the theater
>Meatspin scene comes on
>A muslim looking woman and her ~12 year old daughter walk out
Funnier than the scene itself
>>
>>214212587
Just blindly seeing a movie because it’s a genre you like is probably why movies like Borderlands and In the Lost Lands made any money at all
>>
I saw Lords of Chaos in the theater, and during the suicide scene some old boomer passed out and had to be carried away. It was a very intense scene, but I have to wonder what kind of movie he thought he was going to see.
>>
The most surreal theater going experience of my life was going to see The House that Jack Built with my girlfriend at the time. This was in Greensboro, NC. The only people in the theater besides us were a group of drunk Boomer rednecks who heckled the movie the entire time. One of them even got up and danced a jig whenever David Bowie's "Fame" started playing, which was frequent.

>be me
>watching WEAPONS in theater as a single
>first horror movie ever watched in public
>jump at every jump scare like a coward
I felt so embarrassed bros
>>
>>214212587
This is why theaters are hurting. "I have nothing to do, let's go to the movies and see whatever" is dying out, mainly with boomers.
>>
Cloud Atlas is both a pleb movie and a pleb filter somehow
>>
I feel bad for that kid with down syndrome being subjected to Drive away dolls. Felt sympathy for all of us in the audience shown that crap but him in particular.

are there really that many people? I am not a very outgoing person, (no driving license, few friends) so I tend to go only if is something I deem special, especially given how expensive it has gotten, fuel+ticket and if you want to eat anything there....oh boy.
>>
>roll into theater with the whole squad
>blankets, pillows, comfy clothes
>recline all chairs in back row into giant bed
>open drug use and commentary while enjoying horrorkino
Dominate your local theater. Honestly the theaters are nearly empty half the time we do this, but considering how decent a home movie setup can get it's only really worth to see specific new niche movies or IMAX stuff.

These kind of hangouts are always the best but zoomers and millennials are pussies that can't handle a day without a plan and 99 contingency policies in case they get raped/robbed/the ick
>>
>Watching John Wick
>Right after the eye stab scene I see some girl looking at most 13 get up and walk out
>Think to myself "Yeah, that might have been a bit intense for a kid"
>A few minutes later she walks back in a with a large group of similarly aged friends she just snuck in and they all watch the whole movie
They grow up so fast.
>>
>there are people on this board right now that have never rolled up to the kinoplex with 5 dollars, a pocket full of swill, and zero game-plan

Bro when i was 13 i was smoking and drinking vodka inna woods.

It's the movie version of a guy who isn't that smart or insightful but can confidently use a lot of big words.
It insists upon itself.
>>
>>214214932
Same, but I also knew girls at the time who would nope out of gory scenes in movies.
>>
>>214211918

Boomers grew up in a time where Jewish degeneracy was illegal so this is understandable
>>
>>214211918
Threads like these are pure vitriol. Why don't you all just shut the fuck up and stop judging everyone around you.
>>
>>214211918
I don't think I've ever seen anyone walk out of a movie. I was tempted to walk out of Hugo because it fucking sucked but it's not like I had anything better to do.
>>
Why would you expect to see a prolonged sequence of a closeup penis in Bruno?
>>
When I saw MARTYRS in the theatre many years ago there was a constant stream of people walking out it was like a second comedy movie happening at the same time. Somehow even by the last 40 mins or so people would still be getting grossed out by gore in some new way. This was a festival crowd too which are usually a bit more normie averse. Must have lost a quarter of the patrons by the end.

Good film though
>>
>>214215909
The only times I've walked out of a movie are when there were legit problems with the theater itself or someone sitting near me was being obnoxious
>>
>seeing Cloud Atlas
>actually seeing this trannyslop
opinion, and thread, slid, like a greasy log from Niki's bunghole
>>
>>214216247
Cloud Atlas is great you get to hear Tom Hanks call someone a nigger
>>
>>214211918
I went and saw human traffic years ago with a girl and she ran out sobbing, turns out her brother died of a drug overdose... probably one of my better dates.
>>
>>214211918
I remember this happening during the rape scene from pulp fiction in theaters. Yes I’m old. Also my friend’s gf and her mom walked out of the girl with the dragon tattoo bc of some rape scene too.
>>
>>214212587
Remember when I went to see The Wind Rises and the woman in an old couple in the screening as soon as the movie started said
>"it's animated?"
>>
>>214212379
Babby's first misanthropy
>>
>>214215011
For me it was when my grandma (R.I.P.) insisted to watch sausage party, I warned her it was obscene but she shrugged it off only to be blindsided by the orgy scene at the end, lmao
>>
>>214216530
they are not going to like Rob Roy my friend
>>
>>214212930
>be muslim
>Borat made fun of Jews
>Ok I see Bruno it also make fun of Jews
>OH MY ALLAH IS THAT A JEWISH PENIS!!! HARAM
