i was wondering about the 'mechanics' of it. i don't actually know what happens to humans in outer space, they asphyxiate, freeze, explode, what?but whatever it's Star Wars. and not everything has to be a discrete 'Force Power', we see characters just do things. Leia is Force-sensitive. so did she know how to do that? how?the actual look of it, or that it happened, not really the problem. but it felt very off.
After the opening jokes about "YO Mama...." I was shell shocked.

The contrast between them was jarring. You can really appreciate how bad everything is. The editing is the first thing that hits you. Going from seamless editing that you don't really notice (just like how good editing is supposed to be) to this frenzied spastic slideshow (for no reason whatsoever) is shocking and also very tiresome. It makes you wonder if they really spend all that money on these movies or they are just money laundering schemes. How the fuck can you edit a movie like that when this other movie that was made for 1/10 of your budget had an actual competent editor and yours is a schizo slideshow? Just go across the street and hire that guy. The next thing that is jarring is going from real, believable characters to these cardboard cutouts quip machines. You're somewhat conditioned to think they will turn into real characters by the end of the movie, but the quips NEVER stop. They were never meant to stop. Billions must quip. Finally the story is the cherry on top because you already start with low expectations and still end up disappointed. 10/10 experience. Would recommend.

Also, you know, things float in space and have no friction? Did people forget this? It's not the sky, yes things "fly" like superman in it.
