Deadshot is more of a background/utility character, Rick Flag takes up Bloodsport's role, including the father/daughter relationship with Ratcatcher 2.Weasel effectively replaces King Shark and similarly befriends Ratcatcher 2, and her rats. Flag's death plays out the same way, but instead of Peacemaker being confronted and "killed" he simply escapes, only being stopped by Boomerang who witnessed the fight, but makes no attempt to stop him, only mouthing off a few melodramatic Australian words of wisdom which, along with Flag's dying quote, continue to haunt the character into his titular TV series.

But everything else is just the same with some different characters that are just too similar (like King Shark instead of Croc), villain (Starro, who make minions just like Incubus did) and a lot of pop songs, but everything now is coated in Gunn's saturated colors and edgy jokes.
