The Lives of Others (Das Leben der Anderen) is a very classy and interesting drama about surveillance in East Germany. The same guy wrote and directed picrel, but I didn't bother with it, as it's too long and the plot sounded full of itself (whoever's seen it chime in). The girl in it is very hot though and you see her nekkid, so at least there's that.

>>214240419It's definitely artsy and up its own ass at times, but it's uncompromising 10/10 kino. It's long, but then telling the story of three radically different Germanys through the work of a single artist is the kind of story that justifies a 3 hour runtime.
