Clearly it didn't take the Sulaco decades to get to LV-426, and Ripley being adrift for 57 years was treated like a very unusual occurrence. Also, what was the eyeball thing's deal? It attacks the retarded captain chick and stuns her, then tries to attack black dude, but then it looks like it summons the xenomorph, but then it attacks the xenomorph like it's protecting the retarded captain chick, but then the eyeball thing fucks of, and then retarded captain chick gets brutally mauled to death anyway.
