The movie starts immediately after the second one when the fire people attack the water people. The human kid (Spider) and the Sully kids run off into the jungle during this attack (there's an even bigger boat this time) and Spider’s mask gets hit when he falls down a hill. Kiri uses some kind of magic to make him a Na'vi/human hybrid who can breathe their air. Giant battle basically straight away. Neytiri gets shot by Varang and ends up in the human hospital back in the jungle. Then Quaritch is sent to the ash clan to form an alliance. We spend basically the entire second act with him and in the end the evil Na'vi get guns and go to the reef again, this time with the humans, and Jake Sully surrenders. They take him to the human base and they show Jake this machine that will terraform Pandora. One of the scientists helps Jake escape and dies. The rest of the Sully family travels back to the jungle with the air clan who comes to help the water people after they're attacked.The son stays with reef people to plap the chief’s daughter.. There's a lot of back and forth between him and Jake and he keeps dreaming about his dead brother. Jake goes back to jungle Na'vi and tells them about the machine and that they have to destroy it to save Eywa. Also that the fire clan is now on the humans’ side (volcanic activity destroyed their sacred tree so now they hate Eywa). They activate the machine and it stars making all the Eywa areas go insane so the mountains and shit are going nuts and Kiri says it's going to kill Eywa. Jake and everyone attack, Kiri throws mountains at them using her magic.
The machine and the magnetic field get broken but Eywa doesn't heal, Spider tries to save Kiri who is chased into a volcano by Varang and Quaritch, Jake and Neytiri chase after. Neytiri kills Quaritch’s right-hand man during this fight. Huge fight between Jake and Quaritch again but they both stop to save Spider who falls off. Varang kills Kiri and the mountains fall on the human base as everyone else escapes. Quaritch escapes with fire clan. Entire human base is obliterated. Then movie ends with them all visiting the dream world. Jake talks to spirit of Kiri and she says that even though they have won Eywa needs help and is now dying.
