It’s even worse than CIA -man
How come it’s not memed as much?

>>
>>214274218
It has been quoted constantly since it was released. ‘Ewan your friends are dead’ and ‘I’m Dunnhier’ memes still shit up this board on the reg
>>
>>214274218
why do they keep killing off their own guys wouldn't more bodies will lead to more dirt on them and will fuck them over with less manpower
>>
>>214274218
It does a great job of establishing the tone of the rest of the film while giving the audience an impression that the Joker is a borderline supernatural figure (which is important for them to accept the other reality defying moves in his plan later)
>>
>>214274218
most of the posters here were born the same year this movie came out.
>>
>>214274304
You mean Ewan Yafrenzadad, the Persian bank owner.
>>
>>214274330
>the other reality defying moves in his plan
such as?
>>
>>214274320
Joker doesn't give a fuck about anything. That's the point of the character.
>>
>>214274218
The scene perfectly captured Joker's complete disregard of others, and sets the tone for the rest of the movie.

It was chaotic, no one knew what was going on, and people didn't know who, or even IF The Joker was in this scene. Great reveal
>>
>>214274431
The bomb in the Joker's thug's stomach killing everyone else in the precinct while the Joker remains unscathed is only possible if he's supernatural to some extent. He also couldn't have predicted Dent taking the fall for Batman even though his plan largely hinges on that happening.
>>
>>214274625
hey bro just because you can't plan a trip to the fucking shower doesn't mean the JOKAH BABY can't make plans for a jail break
>>
>>214274437
yeah I’m Dunnhier

Made sense to me.

>MY DOG, CZAR HONGRY!
that's kind of a weird name for a dog, but i guess it works if the guy is eastern european or russian
didn't understand why this wasn't expanded upon- and what are the names of the other dogs? was czar hongry the lead dog and they felt the others weren't important enough to mention?
>>
>>214274218
Newfriend detected, you’re Dunn Hier.

>>214275068
Made more sense than Scarecrow randomly calling the Chechen “Baiar Biweir,” which isn’t even a Chechen name

movies aren't even real at all, everyone knows that its just actors pretending on sets, but puts that out of their mind entirely when the illusion comes together. you don't want to step back and analyze unless something breaks the bubble. the bank stuff is smooth, seamless. the plane bane shit shreds the bubble 10 times per second
>>
>>214274750
The plan itself only works if you suspend your disbelief entirely. The Joker's probably the luckiest character in all of /tv/ history if you assume no supernatural elements to the story.
>>
>>214274218
The scene is complete nonsense but it doesn't have the sublime absurdity of the plane scene.
>>
>>214275249
(that's why all the dunnheir stuff exists - the joke is pretending to see holes and sharp corners like the plane shit had, in a perfectly slick surface)
>>
>>214274218
how did this looney toons shit got hailed as "one of the greatest movies ever made" is simply beyond me
>>
>>214274218
It absolutely makes sense in every way, you dumb fucking nigger.
>>
>>214274625
>if he's supernatural to some extent
Is this hinted at in the movies? It's been years since I've watched anything other than the adventures of CIA.

there's way too many characters introduced in that intro, I never made it past it. I understand Nolan is this genius tier auteur but you can't just list off 50 names in 5 minutes and expect me to know, I haven't read the comics dude
>>
>>214275302
It got overrated because of Ledger's death.

To be fair, his performance was great. He pretty much carried the movie. I couldn't stand Batman's throat cancer voice.
>>
>>214275329
>nobody thinks to report and cops don't stop the school bus covered in fucking concrete dust driving down the main street
>>
>>214275374
Batman Begins is the best of the three films. The Dark Knight was average and the third one is extremely painful to watch.
>>
>>214275336
No. The guy is arguing the movie sucks because it's supposed to be realistic, yet the Joker magically survives no reason.
>>
>>214275336
Not really beyond his plans hinging on being incredibly lucky at all times and everyone else in his plan doing exactly what he predicted they would do.
>>
>>214274320
The Dark Knight doesn't make any rational sense and the jonkler is an ultimate mastermind who always gets what he wants and never has to work for it.
Then you say "oh but a billionaire who dresses as a bat makes sense" as if that dismisses who little heavy lifting is done for the junker pulling off these strange elaborate plots.
Begins is a far better film.
>>
>>214274218
What part doesn't make sense to you?
>>
>>214275404
TDK would be better but nolan is just such a lazy hack all the flaws drag it down.
>>
>>214275404
you're a big guy
>>
>>214275382
Can a school bus really crash straight through a concrete wall and come out completely unscathed? Damn thing didn't even break a window.
>>
>>214275538
uuuu
>>
>>214275480
isn't the entire point of his character that he genuinely doesn't care if he dies?
that was obvious when he gives Harvey the chance to kill him
>>
>>214275369
I agree, its very confusing.
>>
>>214275491
>the Joker is the living embodiment of chaos who never has a plan
>the Joker spends months planning a robbery that requires an intricate chain of interconnected events to be carried out flawlessly with split second timing
>>
>>214274625
>plan
does he look like a guy with a plan to you?
>>
>>214275773
>months
untrue
>>
>>214275810
If he doesn't have a plan he is supernaturally lucky, which they could have done if they leaned into the Joker/playing cards/poker motif
>>
>>214275374
It was going to be a smash hit regardless. Heath's death just catapulted his performance into another level of cult following. It became cringe, and turned me off the movie for a while.

If Heath never died, he would have never won that Oscar, that's for sure. The Academy Awards HATED cape shit back then

Wish Nolan would elaborate on why Art, Oluv Thovmonei, Buzz Drieburg, and Abikka Recar were so famous.

>>214275773
You mean the Joker is full of shit and isn’t as chaotic as he pretends to be? No way a guy with this face would ever lie!
>>
>>214274535
>nobody knew if the joker was in this scene.
>you see the joker getting picked up by the other robbers holding his mask
