And yet Tron is getting another sequel, Back to the Future is getting a reboot, and Indiana Jones got a movie some 20 years after the last one that people already didn’t like. Normies hadn’t thought of any of these things in years. The corporations and producers don’t give a shit about how long it’s been, so long as the name is still recognizable enough.

Because the HBO animated series is perfect and Todd MacFarlane knows that anything else will be worse and since he retains sole ownership of the character we don't have to worry about it. Once he dies it will get milked for all its worth though.

did Amazon's Invincible cover that war stuff yet? I haven't watched the cartoon adaptation. Spawn shows up for a cameo in the comics and that would have been a great nod to remind people

I liked it when it first ran, but a rewatch during covid really changed my mind. Spawn came across as the least interesting character. The bounty hunter plot was interesting in the last season but I might be biased because Jennifer Jason Leigh did the voice work and I always like her stuff.
