You're laughing. Hollywood is dying and you're laughing?
>>
>>214295267
Let it burn.

>tripfagging
kill yourself
>>
summer isn't over yet?
>>
>>214295309
I trip because its necessary. Summer Glau would approve and she looks better in goggles, Newcastle.

The real tragedy in OPs pic is Lilo and Stitch. They literally nip-tucked and circumcised the aspects of the film that made €isney Billions in merch, tragically hilarious.
>>
>>214295398
retarded faggot
>>
>>214295267
2019 was insane. I think Disney had seven movies that grossed a billion or more. This year they don't have a single one.
>>
>>214295267
They should stop making garbage then.
>>
Good

Hollywood is just judeoamerican social conditioning anyway
>>
>>214295267
Good riddance lugenpresse scum
>>
>>214295267
If it's not AI no one cares. Seems like that's what gets all the viewership these days.
>>
>>214295267
>Every 2019 movie is Disney
Fucking grim. And Rise of Skywalker isn't even there because Disney mauled Star Wars.
>>
>>214295267
B-but Jurassic World! Superman! Fantastic Four! Weapons!
What happened?
>>
lmao they're earning less and less and the inflation is making the cost higher and higher, people demand higher wages as well
>>
>>214295267
Movie theaters are dying thanks to the proliferation of streaming, ticket prices skyrocketing, the long term effects fo COVID changing people's minds, and the simple truth that most current year films are dogshit. There's no reason to invest in going out anymore when you can just wait for them to come to VOD in a month, or if you want to save money.
>>
>>214295267
I'm shocked lilo and stitch did as well as it did, nobody has anything good to say about it yet people kept going to watch it anyway, were people not warning their friends and family.

Crazy that absolutely nobody is talking about that bad boys movie anymore

Rise of Skywalker was a christmas movie, that list is exclusively summer. Unfortunately Rise did make a billion anyway because it took people until literally last year to realize that hatewatching is still watching.
>>
>>214295688
>the "Disney Channel"-Spidertwink sequel outgrossed a mainline Star Wars movie
kek

Why aren't there enough people pirating anymore?
>>
>Highest grossing movies of the year are live action disney remakes, capeshit and Jurassic Park sequel #8

I think even the average NPC is finished with paying $20 to see AI slop. At this point cinema is just a place where parents take their kids on a rainy weekend
>>
>>214296015
streaming became too easy, so most people quit out of convince. Then you go a few years without torrents and sort of just forget about them. It's a bummer, but I've got quite a few friends that stopped when Netflix started to have everything, then just never took it back up. They'd rather just pay the $4.99 to rent it on Amazon on their TV than break out the HDMI cable.
>>
>>214295846
>I'm shocked lilo and stitch did as well as it did, nobody has anything good to say about it yet people kept going to watch it anyway, were people not warning their friends and family.
Stitch appeals to the lowest common denominator; wine moms see a cute-looking alien, they squee and drag their families out to see it. It's also hyper popular in Asia since Asians have an affinity with cute mascot creatures. Quality doesn't matter to normies (for the most part).
It's like how Moana 2 outgrossed its predecessor despite how aggressively bland it was, and yet, no one's talking about it.
>>
>>214296015
>Why aren't there enough people pirating anymore?
Streaming made the mass public lazy + more compliant. Also, Gen Z is too chickenshit about piracy over the fear of going to jail if they're caught.
>>
>>214296058
>than break out the HDMI cable.
They don't even need the cable. If they have Smart TVs, they can just route/cast their phones to them via an app.
>>
It's all so bad. Back in the 60s the studio system collapsed for lesser than this.
>>
>>214295846
>Crazy that absolutely nobody is talking about that bad boys movie anymore
It takes less time for the good to okay movies to run their course.

>>214296015
Because people are dumber than they used to be.

Gunnsisters...
I was led to believe Superman saved the summer box office. What went wrong?

With DC it's usually the second movie that's the breakout hit.
>>
>capeshit, cartoons, remakes, sequels
Lol, fuck this industry. You check the 90s box office and every year has multiple good original films. I don't even know who should I blame more for the state of mainstream cinema, dumb audiences or greedy studio executives.
>>
>>214296223
>it's usually the second movie that's the breakout hit.
Didn't work with BvS.
>>
The Pie has definitely shrunk, the industry will never come back to 2019 numbers
>>
>>214295480
In 2019 we got Joker and in 2024 we got Joker: Folie à Deux. It’s a perfect example of the drop off in storytelling that’s occurred over the last 5 years.
>>
>>214296626
Joker was a piece of shit, lol.
>>
>>214296626
Good point. It's sad how incompetent they've gotten.

I won't pay for your slops
I won't watch your slop
I won't engage with your slop.
>>
>>214295480
It was the international market. Any capeshit or princess slop movie that showed up got an automatic half billion dollars from foreign audiences. Studios couldn’t lose
>>
>>214295480
>2019 was insane. I think Disney had seven movies that grossed a billion or more. This year they don't have a single one.
All remakes and sequels. HORRIBLE
>>
Maybe they should try releasing movies instead of extended corporate youtube ads.

This is an interesting metric to factor into the equation. 18 years ago the recession put the squeeze on American families so there was a huge drop in the birthrate. That means a significant portion of these movies’ target demographic simply doesn’t exist
>>
>>214297050
Yeah I agree but then Alec Baldwin shoots and kills the whole production crew including the writers, what thwn?
>>
>>214297179
I have a big recipe for hollywood and it's crazy, but... it might just work.
>no nepobaby jews
>no jews running shows and preferably no jews at all
>no nepobabies
>no indians involved in production, whatsoever
>have a bunch of short film festivals across the country every season or so, in different areas
>best short films get made into films
Easy as.
>>
>>214297134
Needs vs. Wants is a great topic when it comes to cinema...or just life. I need food im about to go to publix and grab a sandwich. Do I need Cowboys vs. Aliens?
>>
>>214295267
In 1990 alone there were more than twenty movies I wanted to watch

Between 2015 and 2025 there were less than twenty for the entire decade

Let it burn
>>
>>214297237
I can simplify that, shoot on film. Digital killed thought, because it was expensive and inspired creativity. Digital destroyed it and FUCK Robert Rogrizes...that filthy Mexican has cock blocked cinema for 2 decades.
>>
>>214296843
Wow, you sure told'em there. I'm sure they will be heartbroken over this.
>>
>>214295267
Well if Hollywood wants me to go to the theater they should make a movie that appeals to me. They haven't done that in years so they must not want me there
>>
>>214295267
This is the year that the Strike had the biggest impact. All that stuff in 2024 was long-term stuff with lots of post-production. 2025 was the year where the labor disruption hit the CGI-mass appeal slop.
Hell Despicable Me 3 was French, but nobody considers French movies foreign if they're animated and star Steve Carrell and Paris made a big deal of saying "See Assassins Creed and Minions, you thought those came out of LA, nah, New York, hell no, straight up Paris bitch"
>>
>>214295267
Ha ha. Yeah.
