The modern cinematic climate has eroded. Big companies, pushing shallow cash-grabs, own Hollywood. The art of telling a good story no longer matters. Be prepared for more and more production companies to be adopting AI, and bloviating terminology like "Cinematic Universe," or "The [Insert Name] Saga"... Disney, WBD, Sony, and A24 - are just the EA, Fdev, Bungie, Roberts Space Industries motherfuckers of film. Tech moguls, major stock shareholders, and trust-funded young entrepreneurs deserve a heightened level of government regulation. They have had tangible, increasingly negative consequences on the world we live in. They affect more than just art and television. When you're sitting in the theater for that next MCU/DCU slopfest: just know you're buying into the next DayZ or Star Citizen tier scam. Remember their foundational pillars:
>Being as intentionally mediocre as possible (with focus test groups helping them regulate these goals)
>Falsely promising massive potential
>Taking as much from you as they legally can get away with
>>
Self bump, because I know I am right.
>>
>>214295293
movies have been scams since at least the 1970s
>>
>>214295388
You completely ignored the fundamental point to what I've said.
>>
>>214295431
i didn't read your rambling post. i just read the title.
>>
>>214295510
You will wither, in death, and sadly so.
>>
>>214295520
k, keep me posted
>>
>>214295542
You're so cool, anon.
>>
>>214295293
you are right everywhere apart adopting the AI. major companies have been using AI for decades now. They all have logarithms and algorithms that calculate when to insert action scene or a quip etc
>>
>>214295293
This. The government has our interests much more at heart compared to a bunch of trust fund babies.
>>
>>214295554
thanks
>>
>>214295585
No, really, man. You're just really, really cool. Like, you must smoke weed. You're so down to Earth and real.
>>
The first cinematic universe began with Universal Monsters in 1913 and had its first crossover in 43
The second cinematic universe was the Toho Kaijus in 1953, with the first crossover being with King Kong and hence retroactively beginning the universe in 33 (btw Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster uses every single plot beat from Batman V Superman)
But yeah dude Superman coming out signifies the end of western civilization *hits pipe*
>>
>>214295622
If you don't know what I meant by "bloviating" just don't even bother responding. It's dead obvious I'm hinting towards psychological and linguistic manipulation by marketing agencies.
>>
>>214295619
thanks
>>
>>214295570
False dichotomy
>>
its ultimately the fault of plebs for going to cinema to watch the slop.
>>
>>214295667
Plebs don't spend billions per year to shove this stuff down their own throats. Do you pay a gay guy with down's syndrome who wears rainbow shirts to scream in your face? No. You simply live in a world where Pride Parades are forced upon your existence.
>>
>>214295647
All marketing by definition is psychological manipulation
>>
>>214295708
We can widdle away any conversation to the semantic bare knob, anon. This is pointless, hair-splitting sophistry.
>>
>>214295697
>forced upon
The only time I ever remember they exist is when people post ragebait screenshots of twitter or reddit about them here
>>
>>214295735
You either don't have a social/professional life, or don't live in a first world Western country. You could also be lying, for attention, like every other faggot online.
>>
>>214295720
It would only be hair splitting if I knew what the fuck you were getting at originally, at it stands I don't see the "hair" to begin with
>cinematic universe are the mark of the devil even though they exist since 1913 because it's a marketing term to manipulate you like every single ad or marketing campaign
>>
>>214295774
See the OP and >>214295647. All I can ask is that you re-read, because you obviously either misunderstood my intentions or fundamentally lack the ability to understand my point. It's straightforward. You don't have to make a strawman out of it. I made it simple, for you.
>>
>>214295751
Have you considered that your experience isn't universal and that perhaps thinking a small matter is a huge deal isn't a sign that you have a flourishing social life, but that you spend too much time online>>214295774
>>
>>214295839
>Small matter
Yes these organizations funneling billions of dollars back and forth illegally and marketing themselves through dishonest means, to the point they draw comparisons to the most infamous and shameless examples of soulless corporatism in gaming is a small matter. I don't have any reason to take what you have to say seriously, if this is what you want to argue.
>>
>>214295896
>this is so dire it could even be compared to...GAMING
lol I see, gamers rise up! lol
>>
>>214296020
Okay, Captain Goalpost. Thanks for the bump.
>>
>>214295293
I've heard things in passing... whispers in dark corners, but never has anyone outright said it with such confidence. This man is brave enough to say what may of us are thinking, whispering, but are too afraid to say
>>
>>214296020
sorry anon gaming doesnt have its own global economy by which you can apply a value. you have to compare it to the things it affects: the rest of the world
>>
>>214296128
sorry that I don't think what evil practices gamers are subjected to are so sinister they're the benchmark to which we should compare creeping darkness to

I accept your silent concession.

bump
>>
>>214295293
This looks like any squeeky clean marvel movie. Eye cancer. Utterly Putrid.
>>
>>214296881
It has contrast, is intentionally shot and graded... My only complaint is it tries too hard to imitate amateur photography, not flat MCU visuals. The writing and bulletpoint-false-promise marketing are the issue, to me. I don't like the idea of everything in the DCU looking like it was shot by Henry Braham, though. Don't get it twisted.
>>
Star Wars and it's consequences have been a disaster for the human race. I was going to right western cinema but there's the manbabies who turned it into an entire lifestyle for a lifetime.
>>
>>214297025
Those manbabies were raised by Star Wars merchandising and commercials which manipulated them from a young age. The faceless thinktanks are yet again at fault.

embarrassing, and this is from someone who doesn't disagree

Like I care, faggot. Bump.
