And especially this scene?
Its well made and has a strong message. What should he have said?
>>
He shouldn't have said a single word.
>>
It's poorly made, relies heavily on emotional manipulation over facts or logic and has a weak message.
>>
>>214298424
>And especially this scene?
At this point this is a full fledged ragebait masquerading as "pretend to be a retard who misquotes the scene" right?
>>
>>214298424
>I'd listen to what they had to say

>>we want to shoot a lot of bullies

>oh yeah cool man
>>
When I first saw it when I was 14 I thought it was profound because I was a sheltered retard. A few years later I realized how retarded, biased and detached from reality it was and how Moore is a total hack. So I guess my tip would be to grow up and then you'll hate it too.
>>
>>214298424
Because you keep talking over /tv/ instead of listening to them, which is what nobody did
>>
>>214298424
"Baby's Day Out" made a more cogent case for gun control.
>>
>>214298424
It's a dumb scene because it relies on the narrative that therapy is some magical cure for mental health problems.
>>
>>214298489
You only think this way if you are a chud
>>
>>214298683
Better do nothing and give them a gun I guess
>>
it's a retarded non sequitur because eric and dylan were not neglected bullied children, they were just malignant
>>
>>214298424
The manson interview is the only honest part, it's everything else Moore did that was dishonest faggotry, especially for what he did to Charlton Heston.
>>
>>214298424
>What should he have said?
nothing. he should've listened - and that's what no one did
>>
>>214298424
Remember when Marilyn Mason was both the literal Anti-Christ, and an extremely profound prophet who, with an army of angsty teens, was not only going to take down the entire religious establishment, but was also going to take down God himself?
>>
>>214298489
>relies heavily on emotional manipulation over facts or logic and has a weak message.
So literally everything that happens after every single shooting. Imagine your kids dying in a school shooting and then nobody cares about them or the shooter or the actual event, they only care to prop up the corpse to push their political beliefs.
>>
>>214298762
>not neglected bullied children
Ostracization is neglect and bullying in one.
>>
>>214298607
>>214298683
Retard
>>
>>214298424
The entire segment relies on the misinformation that Eric & Dylan were just some poor lost souls who needed a hug and a shoulder to cry on and not 1 deranged lunatic and his gay lackey.
>>
>>214298933
They're not even talking about the shooters in this scene you LARPing faggot
>>
>>214298718

2 weeks of therapy and you'll be cured.

You can't really blame them. They are sub-80 IQ, meanwhile malicious shitposters have been framing this scene as if it's Manson being asked about Eric and Dylan. So no wonder they actually believe it to be so. Blessed be the weak and the foolish.
>>
Can someone translate what this ESL moron is trying to say? >>214299004
>>
>>214298628
yeah. same shit here
>>
>>214298702
not an argument
>>
Dylan and Eric would've trooned out of they were born late 90s-2000s
>>
It's amazing people still don't realize this quote is out of context and he was saying he'd listen to the VICTIMS of columbine
>>
>>214298807
Yeah and all that happened so what’re you talking about?
>>
>>214299104
When did no one listen to the victims of columbine?
>>
>>214298424
I dont really have a problem with this scene. Sure, its a little cringe but just letting some chud vent isnt much different than what happens on r9k. But in person, theres a level of catharsis; online, its just a void.
That said, the last scene with Heston is manipulative and disgusting. My politics are left leaning and I'm all for gun control, but Moore uses cheap tactics. It's documentary for teenagers made by a fat, middle aged con artist. If anything, it damages the argument for gun control.
>>
>>214299104
OP knows this. He is just a malignant nigger faggot who wants to meme about "I would've listened and that's what no one did"
>>
>>214299176
When they made their own judgments to the cause of the problem (blaming violent media like Manson) and used the victims' suffering to push a political agenda, instead of actually listening to them. You're a zoomer so you have no context
>>
>>214299176
They were dead unfortunately
>>
>>214299104
No, I think that's what Moore was asking about and Manson misheard him and thought he was asking about the shooters.
>>
>>214298424
Because it's propaganda. You know what those boys would have said if Marilyn Manson listened to them? "Fuck niggers." They were full of hate. No one shoots up the kids at school because they're just so gosh darn flabbergasted at all those mean jocks pushing them around. They got sold media by the likes of Manson, by the likes of Rezner, by the likes of the Insane Clown Posse, that let them believe that killing people who didn't agree with you was a good idea.
>>
reminder that the third shooter at columbine was a fed
>>
>>214298628
I saw it when it debuted in the art houses. My review then is my review now. "it's propaganda but it's well made propaganda."
>>
>>214298933
The segment was talking about how manson was blamed for the shooting and that he was promoting death and rape and satan, and how protesters in denver were protesting his show there 2 years after the shooting "to protect the people of columbine". Everyone was speaking on behalf of the school and the community, and they were giving in to a culture of fear.

He was the asked what he would say to the kids and community of columbine if they were in the room right now, and that is when he made the comment in OP. He was simply asking "why does no one talk to the survivors of the massacre, and isntead let "experts" on CNN and foxnews speak on their behalf?

Its a heavy misquoted segment of the film.
>>
>>214299221
I’m not seeing how that’s not listening to the victims.
>>
>>214299367

>>
>>214299403

>>
>>214299176
>When did no one listen
In the documentary narrative, you dumb fucking faggot. The whole point of that conversation with Manson was to ask him about the media autism and the blame game that started after the shooting trying to pin their actions on something, from videogames to Manson's music.
>>
>>214298489
>relies heavily on emotional manipulation over facts or logic

I'm sorry but you are the biggest retard on this board
I don't even live in the usa and it's pretty clear that you can't separate the emotional consideration on the event from "logic or facts"

evil music that encourages crime should be illegal though desu. movies and tv may be bad but it's very obvious that it's fictional and not encouraging you to do crimes (besides a few like scorsese slop). yet musicians often have personas of being criminal gangsters and larp about it or even get caught doing crimes themselves (many n word rappers). so gullible children believe it is cool to do crimes like in the evil music.
>>
>>214299491
So you’re saying the victims would say Eric and Dylan were over-medicated psychotic weirdos no matter what media they consumed?
>>
>>214299510
Thanks for letting us know to disregard anything you have to say. Wish more of your kind did that
>>
>>214299600

>Movie opens with Michael Moore getting a gun at a bank for opening an account
>Big gotcha moment of him at the bank with the gun being like "you think it's okay to give guns away at a bank..."
>Thought that was super clever and amazing in my teenage libtard years
>Get older, look it up again, learn that it was a completely fabricated scene where opening an account gave you a voucher for a local gun store that you had to go to and go through all the normal process of getting a gun like normal
>The bank scene was a set, the bank manager was a paid actor, and everyone else was an extra
>>
>>214299664
Then why do we know the victims said that Eric and Dylan were over-medicated psychotic weirdos? Clearly someone actually conducted interviews of the survivors and the people who know the victims and shooters.

Word. Me too. Same with the 9/11 one. Growing up was wondering how adults took them seriously when they came out.
>>
>>214299646
>>214299738
I'm sure some of the victims blamed violent media, while others blamed mental illness, while others blamed bullying, or a combination of the three. The point isn't about the actual cause of the problem, or even if the victims are right in the first place. The point is, the media never asked their opinion one way or the other. They were opportunists who took advantage of the tragedy to confirm their own preconceived biases, loudly talking over the victims top push an agenda. That is objectively wrong, and I'm not "being offended" on anyone's behalf for pointing that out as objectively wrong
>>

Where are you going with this goalpost moving? The Manson bit addresses media hysteria in trying to pin the blame on anything their political leaning finds convenient. Can you show one of these talking heads even pretending that they gave a fuck that the state of Colorado thought was the cause?
Sure, police interviewed the victims. Is that what ended up on TV? No.

my opinion is different because it's about things that are actual crimes like murder and gang activity. you shouldn't be allowed to encourage or glorify crimes and anyone with violent criminal record should be banned from selling music. also, scammers should have a hand chopped off

Nobody is going to say, "yeah I was a shitcunt and pushed them until they hit me back" so at the end of the day the opinions of some randos who got shot at are exactly as relevant and informed as some asshats in suits from washington. Manson was a brainlet hiding behind stonerisms and hoping enough highschool stoners would eat it up they could shield him from all the adults saying he was a retard.
