I know that what you are saying it's true, but that's also 90% of the planet as well.
There's absolutely 0, zero, nada, no true value or useful trait you can obtain, from knowing the earth orbits the sun or that Saturn's rings are spinning rocks.
Even if it's useless, you will always have that memorized and repeat it.

Threads like this remind me of the balance that exists in the world. It’s easy to believe that all claims of racism are the standard “you’re racist for talking about fbi crime stats” or “you’re racist for voting for Trump”.

I’m reminded there are legit people who hate others for their race, not their deplorable behavior. I guess there really are two sides to this coin. Not to the level progressives believe in their hysteria, but it is out there.

Also it’s hilarious to watch a bunch of /tv/ posters speculating on the intelligence of a trained physicist.

Honestly I'd probably kill myself if even Steamumms was clowning on me when it comes to something as basic and simply as scientific theory. This pretty much cements when people have noticed about him for a while, he's good at repeating facts but when he's presses to explain them it's the dumbest wargarble of word salad imaginable. A large ocean of words made to make himself sound intelligent when in reality he can't articulate his point but artfully dodges explaining it instead.

He's smart enough to obtain a doctoral degree in astrophysics and join university faculty, which happened before he became le science meme man. The problem is that the celebrity went to his head and he now thinks he is qualified to comment on any and every branch of the sciences. Bill Nye had the same issue.

Smart Ph.Ds contribute something new to their fields. He has not beyond complaining that since Pluto is small it doesn't count as a planet. Well the three gas giants (Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune) lack solid matter and are just gravity-compressed gasses, so do they count as planets?

>>214320345
That's not how you earn a Ph.D. You have to write a paper so large it's actually a fucking book, and it has to be full of new ideas into whatever subject where you critically add new evidence no one thought of before. And then you have to go in front of a committee to defend and explain every word in a setting that makes a police interrogation seem like nothing. They want to know that you're a critical thinker who can contribute to your field, and not just be someone who got that far by memorizing shit from the textbooks for the tests.

But "equity degrees" bypass that hard part that Whites and Asians have to endure.

Yes. Jupiter is like the mass of a pickup truck short of being a brown dwarf. The argument for why Pluto isn't a planet is because there are like 500 other kuiper belt object as big as it is and it hasnt cleared out its orbit.

He failed out around 75% of the economics majors in one single class with a really hard class called "econometrics." And a couple of times he even grilled me with "what you said sounds just like something out of the textbook. Defend it in your own words."

it's because people with good spatial awareness subconscious project their own image rotated about the y-axis (natural rotational axis for a human). Thus there is a mismatch in the mirror. if you have low IQ you don't even think about it, you just see yourself. For high IQ people there is a mismatch in the mirror with their perceived self image. If you subconsciously rotated about any other axis the mirror image would be mismatched across a different line e.g upside down and your mirror image would literally look upside down

Left and right are not actually fipped, it just appears that way because you interpret your own mirror image as a person standing in front of you. Think of two left hand gloves, turn one of them inside out and put it in front of the other. It looks like the mirror image of the first glove and appears to be a right hand glove. That's similar to what happens in the mirror, your image is turned "inside out". Your mirror image's "right hand" is not actually a right hand, it's an "inverted" left hand which is in front of your own left hand.

The Intelligence Quotient is a silly way of measuring how smart people are. I should know. I took a test my senior year at the university. There's no way I have a 143. Just because I can interpret complex information and remember all the books I've learned from don't make me a smart. I'm here and I'm a stoopid.

Science studies the hows of God's creation while spirituality (or religion, if you prefer that term) studies the whys of God's creation. At least that's how I see it. They're both two sides of the same coin and I love them both.

Standardized tests are useful in predicting how well a person can do certain tasks requiring abstract thought, and there is a real corelation between high scores and general intelligence. But sure, high test scores don't definitely show someone's intelligence or precisely predict things like "success." There are a number of other factors that determine someone's success and "overall intelligence," but test scores are still meaningful.

We had a dr in english and a dr in math both demand to be called doctors. Never saw what happens if you didn't but I have seen her berate someone for whispering to her when a test was being conducted. That is correct doctor, me whispering was more distracting than you screaming.

>constantly get called smart by family, friends and strangers alike for how precise I can articulate my thoughts and consider the feelings of others
>got tested about a decade ago for some unrelated thing and it turns out I'm supposedly hovering around 100
>got tested again a few years back and it turns out I have dyscalculia, meaning I'm extremely bad with mathematics which has a huge influence on any IQ score
>got tested again with that in mind
>supposedly I'm around 140 now

I think it's all bullshit.

IQ tests compare you to the world average

For example Einstein who got a score of 160 in the 1930s, if he came to today and took an IQ test, he’d get a lower score of 150, because the average person has gotten smarter

Further away from 100 = smarter/dumber than the world average person

Hence why America has a score of 99, because a billion Chinese kids are pushing the average up
>>
>>214319477
>160IQ
>completely immune to the pleas of the ceiling bird
>>
>>214324176
It seems that many people who score high on the test use it as a crutch. As if was some absolute and indisputable proof that they happen to be smarter than practically everybody else. It breeds arrogance and hubris.

Christianity will go extinct thanks to redditors. Then Islam will come in and start the 2nd Holocaust on all trannies/jews/redditors

Being anti-religious is basically civilizationally suicide.

Redditors taking advantage of Christianity’s meekness will be the end of Western civilization, they honestly think they could try that shit with Islam (which just skips the whole debate bro bullshit and throws reddit gaytheists off roofs)

Sure, but my point was they aren't useless or meaningless. If you scored around a 40-50th percentile on a standardized test, it'd be difficult to be a doctor and some similar professions. But high scores don't definitively equate with high intelligence or mean someone will be quite successful.
>>
>>214324113
IQ as a number is just arbitrary test number, but in terms of real intelligence, its a matter of your ability to bring reality under your control and shaping it in your will. Higher the intelligence, the farther you can get by in life through your will as starting baseline.

It's the reverse, numbnuts. Normal people realize that light bounces off a surface and so it's literally a reflection you're seeing. If I take a picture of you, from the picture taker's perspective it's normal. If you were to see that image from behind, through whatever medium, you would see it much as you would a mirror.

Retards think the image must be flipped upside down because since horizontal is flipped, so must the vertical. Nevermind that we have concave mirrors that do just that.

>>214320894
His thing isn't that he's smart as Stephen Hawking or Einstein, his thing is that he can translate high concepts in layman's terms. Most scientists are nerds and autists that can't communicate with normies, and his skill is just that. Normies are tards, who can't understand nerds. His job is to educate normies because nerds are too retarded to explain themselves to these tards.

So if you agree with him or not is irrelevant, his job is done if you understand the concepts he's explaining. Much like how folding a paper in half and running a pencil through it is used to explain wormholes without having to talk about gravity and light speed and causality and all that, he's basically public relations for scientists. I'm reminded of the guy from Office Space who gets hit by a truck, his job was basically to talk to clients so the nerds didn't have to.
>>
>>214324265
I'm inclined to agree. I can't do maff well beyond college level algebra and geometry. If I focused on it moar I could teach myself the science, but I don't use it much. I've tutored math to younger people, but I do better with literature, history, and reading/writing. I understand science well, but I don't know much of the mathematic expressions.

What makes you so sure? Supporting trannydom is basically the price of fame nowadays. Even if he sees through the ideology, he knows all his lucrative TV shows and speaking engagements will be gone if he goes against the narrative. It's greed, not stupidity.

The most basic part of every IQ test I've taken has come from pattern recognition and puzzle-solving. Figure shit out to prove you're thinking.

>>
>>214324644
IQ test itself is some arbitrary pattern recognition test. That doesnt encompass real intelligence. People with high IQ test can fail in life quite easily. People online boasting about high IQ through online or offline test arent helping themselves. Those that are enamored by numbers are likely doing so out of coping mechanism. Like how a degree mill prints out degrees with no real value.

The goal of the test was to measure intelligence, but it obviously is not accurate or complete. Otherwise it would get you something. Instead, a higher accuracy is just those taking SAT scores, mainly as it is a real device used to measure a value-acquisition for college. But even thats just for college and not life itself. Real intelligence is simply those that can get anything done in life.
>>
>>214323879
Yeah but he knows pandering to those things makes him money and gets him put on TV.

All this tells me is his retardation has spread to his kids because he convinced them that two things can not be identical.

Also, left and right are relative to the observer, but up and down are relative to gravitational pull. They don't reverse in a mirror, they have a different frame of reference.
>>
>>214324861
And left and right also do not reverse in a mirror.

If we ever go to war with India our soldiers should be armored in mirrors to confuse and mystify the enemy.

>his thing is that he can translate high concepts in layman's terms.
That's not a super difficult still though. I'm sure there are plenty of people as smart and educated as him who can convey nerd shit in layman's terms. I certainly can, and my le IQ isn't 150.
>>
>>214324709
I agree, but in slightly less absolute terms. Emotional and social intelligence and skills, which are important factors in success, can be easily learned, especially for high IQ people. You can't "learn" how to be 25-50% more intelligent though in terms of what IQ measures.
>>
>>214324741
>Real intelligence is simply those that can get anything done in life.
Mostly true. BUT IQ is a good predictor of "those who can get anything done in life." Someone who makes a 130+ is more likely to fall in that category, much more, than someone who makes a 90-100.
>>
>>214321440
I do a lot of microwave cooking as a lazy fuck, and what I've found is that if you treat the microwave as a really hot, high burst oven (which it is) you can actually mimic a convection oven pretty well. You have to temper your food, like you would with a really hot pan and making a hollandaise. For eggs, I get pretty amazing scrambled eggs results by numbing for 30sec over and over again and tempering it with quick mixing.
>>
>>214325204
No, IQ porports to measure it. The real measuremen tis when there's a real tangible metric. SAT -> College -> Real life has stronger correlation than IQ -> Real life. Mainly because IQ doesnt measure anything tangible and is divorced from feedback mechanism the tests are measuring towards.
>>
>>214325280
Or you could just scramble the eggs in a minute and be done.
