Why does Jurassic Park monopolize dinosaur movies and no others are allowed to be made?
That movie 65 was mediocre asf but ok.

Dino kino just came out last month.

Yeah i was really disappointed by it. The quiet place directors were not right for the project. The designs for the dinosaurs were far too much like creepy horror movie monsters. It completely failed to capture the awe and majesty of the animals you should have in a dino movie. Large predators like lions are still beautiful and majestic animals even if they're dangerous. The movie didnt understand that with all its creepy designs. We also never see large herbivorous dinos for some reason either.

I guess the idea was they wanted people to feel happy instead of sad when all the dinosaurs get killed at the end by the asteroid? Very misguided movie.

THIS is out? In the ‘plex?? I literally had no idea I thought it was an October/halloween movie release for some reason.

That was the best part. All your gripes have nothing to do with why the movie was bad. I loved that the world of dinosaurs was just a horrible hive of disgusting predators eating each other so when they all get eradicated you can cheer for the good, nice animals like mammoths to show up.
My problem with the movie was the action sequences were kind of eh. The cave part could have been scarier and dare I say a little longer to build suspense. And the final battle with the main beast made no sense I didn’t even get how they defeated it.
>beast walks up to a hot water vent and stands there
>gets blasted
>lives
>keeps standing there
>gets blasted again
>this time it doesn’t have a face after
>dies
That was retarded and I didn’t get it, but other than that it was ok.

But the movie's climax had the nice Tyranosaur help them by fixing their spaceship to be upright so they could escape while he nobly stayed behind to fend off the meteor.

Doing good looking dinosaurs on the big screen is very expensive and would be risky without the JP brand. 65 tried but part of the reason it was lousy was that the budget wasn’t big enough.
>>
>>214323628
It was one of those very limited Fathom releases. Decent B-Movie.
>>
>>214325041
Really it doesn’t even get an actual release? What the fuck Jurassic literally has a monopoly.
>>
>>214325281
Eh I don't think it was about the Jurassic Monopoly, more that it was clearly conceived as a B-movie from the start (low budget, cast of B/C-listers, etc.)
>>
We don't get many good creature features in general these days.

The power of BRANDING. Anyone can still make dinosaur movies if they want, but none will have the brand power of JP.
>>
>>214325378
Was it good??

Come up with a dinosaur movie that isn’t a remake of Jurassic Park or its many sequels, a Children’s movie, b-movie slop, or what’s basically a documentary(this would include something like an adaption of Raptor Red).
>>
>>214326399
I would remake Carnosaur.
>>
>>214326399
Make an adaption of Raptor Red. Kill anyone who suggests adding voice over or narration.
>>
>>214323500
This was in theaters here but another movie I actually want to see isn’t playing anywhere within five hours from me.
>>
>>214326399
I have an idea but I keep it to myself because I don’t want the jews to steal it. I might write a book about it. Then I will sell the rights once it becomes popular and I make millions of dollars.
>>
>>214323423
There were dinos in 2005 Kong.

>brand power of JP.
It's sad that this is true when most of the JP movies aren't very good.
>>
>>214326399
But that's EASY.
>>
>>214326212
It was a solid 6/10, too long and very dumb but the dinos looked surprisingly good for the budget and the gore was satisfying.
