iTT: Documentary Kino
>>
Any of Fred Dibnah's shows.

>>214323430
I watched it recently and it seemed a little too manipulative to me.

His documentaries are full of bullshit. He pretty much destroyed his reputation in the UK overnight by his comically over the top worshipping of the NHS and making it out to be something it isn't.

Bowling for Columbine is full of similar shit. The opening scene with the gun at the bank was staged, he pissed off the South Park guys by interviewing them then doing an animation that ripped off their style, making viewers think it was by them. The final scene was also then tricking Charlton Heston when he was well into the onset of dementia.

>He pretty much destroyed his reputation in the UK overnight by his comically over the top worshipping of the NHS
But NHS worship is the national religion in the UK.

Which highlights just how out of sync with reality that segment was.

He was right about everything, the only counter-argument anyone gave in the entire documentary was "He wasn't there, he doesn't know what those people went through" basically playing on emotion with no facts.

I just saw a documentary about former pizza huts turned into things like a church, other small time restaurants, weed shops etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alql_8UgJlI

Isn't there a scene where he goes to the bank and gets a gun and, first off he would have had to do a federal background check because there is no way he wouldn't have, but he pretends he didn't in the film, but it was also a weatherby rifle with is a fairly nice hunting rifle and he would have had to put down at least a grand to get it.
meanwhile more people are punched to death each year than killed with bolt action rifles and in 1998 or whenever you could have gotten a mosine nagant for like $60

Very good but The Dawn Wall is the superior climbing kino. Honnold is an interesting character study but his autism makes it hard to be emotionally invested in him. Tommy is more endearingly human and the non-climbing obstacles he overcame make for a better narrative.

>Charlton Heston
Didn't Moore use footage from a different years NRA meeting to make it seem like Heston's response to Columbine was "From my cold dead hands"?
>>
>>214323546
Correct.
The only reason to watch this is for the comfy early 2000s vibes. To watch it for any moral or political reason would be silly.
