gattaca is an interesting movie because it makes you wonder if life could really be perfected where everyone is a designer baby without defects or major inequalities and live in paradisebut of course, (spoilers) it goes in the total opposite direction, where the hero in the story is instead randomly generated with a heart defect, yet he just believes in himself, or something dumb like that, and is able to swim really hard and save the day. It is a mockery of all the defects that people have that end their lives abruptly or make them miserable all the time. it's a movie about justifying the random generation of people for the purpose of enslaving them for profit.
